Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills. Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them. And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father.

Where does Steelheart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top 5. I listen to about 2-3 books a month. This is only the second review I have done. I felt it deserved to be recognized. Hopefully this developers into a great series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Main character. Without question. You spend the entire book pulling for the underdog. He's well developed and very few moments that you don't find yourself connecting with him.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The final battle was very well done. You had to continue until it's conclusion. I lost a lot of sleep trying to finish it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Without a doubt. I found myself sitting in my car after I got home just to see what happened next.

    Any additional comments?

This book really took me by suprise. It was nonstop action from beginning to end. I have listen to a few Superhero books in the past but this one really made you connect with the main character. If you want a truly fun book this is the one. I broke my golden rule when I bought this book. I never start a series until there are a few books already out and this book proves why I have that rule. Now I have to wait for book #2? I have the patience of a nat.
