"Great story of an amazing man"
Most of us know him merely as a name in the list of Presidents. This enlightening book shows him as so much more. He brought real change to America and set our nation on a course toward greatness. He was devoted to his family and to his country.
This book is very well written and the audio version is very entertaining as well as informative. This is one of the few books that I plan to listen to again
"Fascinating account of a forgotten war"
This is the fascinating story of "the little nation that could." The U.S. with a fledgling navy of a few ships took on one of the greatest naval powers the world had seen up until that time. This book shows how the U.S. overcame the overwhelming odds against it and changed U.S.-British relations forever.
"Listen to this Book Before You Vote"
This book is the alarming account of how politicians of both parties are putting their own career interests above the fiscal soundness of our country. Senator Coburn is an insider who watched and tried to stop the madness.
"Should Be Required Reading for Every Voter"
This book is a very understandable description of the way our government is committing suicide by gross overspending and borrowing with no thought of tomorrow. Listen to it before you vote.
"Fascinating history of modern China from inside"
A fascinating account of the rise and reform of the communist movement in China from the inside. It is written from the point of view of a Chinese official who became more and more concerned about the direction Mao was taking the country. As an American, I don't agree with everything in the book. Any westerner who wants to understand modern China should get this book.
"Very good but too long"
A good book about a good president. There are times in the book where there seems to be too much detail - for me, at least.
"Warning! This book is hazardous to your doubts!"
This book is the result of the author's thorough investigation of evolution and the alternatives. It also chronicles his journey from atheism to becoming a born again Christian. By interviewing a number of leading scientists, he exposes the impossibilities of evolution as taught in public schools and universities. He uncovers the cover up attempts of evolutionary science. Listen to this book with an open mind. It is packed with information and evidence.
"I love it!"
I learned a lot about a good president, the age in which he lived and how Alexander Graham Bell tried to save his life after he was shot. For anyone who is interested in US history and the lives of the presidents, this book is a "must listen."
"Excellent!"
A very interesting treatment of a great president and an important time in American history. The author made history come alive, and the narrator made it even more interesting.
"Too much detail"
Although I'm interested in the subject, it went into too much detail for me as a layman historian. It might be good for the scholars who thrive on the details that most of us aren't interested in.
