One of the best-known stories in American culture, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over 100 years. Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Alice In Wonderland), fresh from filming one of this year’s most anticipated films, The Dark Knight Rises, lends her voice to this uniquely American fairy tale.

Anne Hathaway is so fabulous in this book. Just remember this is a children's book, do be expecting children's level entertainment.

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

This is a fantastic performance. So many voices, so many characters yet all flowing into the story. The most entertaining classic that I have listened to on Audible.

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

Great story, keeps you listening, not too dark while still having a substantial plot.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Would you consider the audio edition of Outlander to be better than the print version?

I loved hearing the different accents. The reader did a great job boucing between English and Scottish.

Within six months of its publication in 1936, Gone With the Wind had sold a million copies. To date, it has been translated into 25 languages, and more than 28 million copies have been sold. What about Linda Stephens’s performance did you like?

Even after 49 hours you loved listening to her read. Her voice was so true to the characters that you really connect with the story and forget it is recorded. It felt like reading in that regard.

Meet Peter Brown, a young Manhattan emergency room doctor with an unusual past that is just about to catch up with him. His morning begins with the quick disarming of a would-be mugger, followed by a steamy elevator encounter with a sexy young pharmaceutical rep, topped off by a visit with a new patient - and from there Peter's day is going to get a whole lot worse and a whole lot weirder.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I probably would not recommend this book just because it makes you feel so dirty and sick after listening. If you are into crime and gore, or really need a book to keep you awake on a long drive, this one will keep you on your toes.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Absolutely not.

    Any additional comments?

Very dark, graphic and sexual. I wish I had been warned. I would not have bought his book.
