Karen Kingsbury is a wonderful author. Her words awaken all of your senses. I really enjoyed the story line. I would recommend all of her books. Enjoyed Tom Stechschulte as narrator. He did a very good job with the different accents. You felt as though it was really different people speaking.

  • Release of the Spirit

Originally a series of messages delivered at Customs Lane, Foochow, South China in 1948, these were translated and published by Sure Foundation Publishers in 1965. Brother Nee's writings are an amazing call to fellow Christians. This work is only small in size, but not stature as "the author strongly recommends to all the servants of Christ that they learn a most fundamental lesson in their Christian experience; namely, the breaking of the outward man for the release of the inward spirit."

My husband and I listened to this book. (I fell asleep on most of it.) It gave some insightful information. Lloyd James did a better job of narrating this book by Watchman Nee than the narrator of one of his previous books. I will probably listen to this book again and take notes. He gives a lot of scripture references that I would like to look up. You can grow spiritually by listening to this book and applying the principles to your life.

Nee-To-Sheng of Foochow, China is best known as Watchman Nee to hundreds of thousands of Christians around the world who have encountered his work. Those who pick up this work, Spiritual Authority, will forever remember the power with which he creates. Here, Watchman Nee discusses authority - the authority of God over humans and the authorities that God sends to humans. This is a profoundly simple and Biblical exploration of God's purposes in His authority over us.

My husband and I listened to this book. It gave us a different perspective on Spiritual Authority. Some of the book was a little repetitive and the narrator was without much expression in his voice, which made the book a little boring to listen to at times. The ideas found in this book were very insightful. We would recommend this book.

This heart-stirring tale of a young slave girl, torn between her love for a handsome aristocrat and her faith in God, transcends genres with its awe-inspiring power and emotional intensity.

    "Amazing story."
    Overall

My husband and I listened to this book together. The history and the parallels to today's issues where very interesting. We enjoyed the intrigue. We would listen to this on our Garmin everytime we went somewhere. We found ourselves fining excuses to go places just so we could hear this book. When it ended, it left us wanting more. We were very glad to find the sequel, An Echo in the Darkness. We can hardly wait to start listening to it. Francis Rivers is an amazing author. Richard Farone did a terrific job with the different voices. You felt as though you were listening to a play at times. We would recommend this book.
