It is a good reference book to listen. some of parts are excellent, but some of parts I really question the truth. but we hard to tell whether author over states or his survey unreliable. Best way is you take a jurney to experice.

  • The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 20 mins)
    • By Nassim Nicholas Taleb
    • Narrated By David Chandler
    Overall
    (2053)
    Performance
    (919)
    Story
    (912)

Maverick thinker Nassim Nicholas Taleb had an illustrious career on Wall Street before turning his focus to his black swan theory. Not all swans are white, and not all events, no matter what the experts think, are predictable. Taleb shows that black swans, like 9/11, cannot be foreseen and have an immeasurable impact on the world.

Kenneth says: "Brilliant, Obnoxious, Narcissistic, Brilliant"
""Black Swan" bit aroud the bush"
    Overall

Black Swan is a good topic. It reminds us the odds in our life. But this author goes around and around too mucn. If you do not have time to read and listen his elegance, do not take it.

When I listen to it , I had a growing feel that I wasted my time and money on this book.

  • If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat

John Ortberg invites you to consider the incredible potential that awaits you outside your comfort zone. Out on the risky waters of faith, Jesus is waiting to meet you in ways that will change you forever, deepening your character and your trust in God. The experience is terrifying. It's thrilling beyond belief. It's everything you'd expect of someone worthy to be called Lord.

Marina says: "Get out of the Boat"
    "It is an excellent book"
    Overall

It is an excellent book. It can change people's life. In our life, biggest enemy is fear. It handicapped our talent, intelligent and capability to make achievement in our life. Never fear failure. Failure is the seeds of success. This is what I??ve learnt from the book.
