I honestly consider the audio version of any book better than the print version.
I absolutely love the stories that included the perverted pixie with the foul mouth. Very funny stuff.
This was the first time I heard Gavin.
No way!! I listen to it in sections over a couple of weeks. It was easy to do that because it is a book of short stories.
This type of book is not usually my cup of tea, but I was surprised at how much I ended up enjoying it.
I am a Rivers fan and I have read this book years ago, but I did not like the narrator. Also, the overuse of the word "sardonic " became bothersome.
Did not finish.
The actual book was very inspiring, but the audio was disappointing.
I loved listening to R's thoughts, and then hearing how he managed to speak his mind.
M was my favorite character. His humor was a definite plus to the plot.
He was quite zombie-like. Great job.
Love is not dead
I saw the movie first, and the book has some differences. That was ok and to be expected. There were occasions where it was difficult to determine which character was speaking. I will listen again though.
No once was enough for this one.
The confrontation with the "other man".
waiting for my wife to die
There were places in this book that seemed to drag. While I knew I was being dragged to a certain place and circumstance to set the stage for this legacy of disfunction to unwind, The experience was a little tedious at times.
Marta made me angry. It was difficult to identify with her. I found myself just wishing she would explain herself.
First listen to this reader.
I would have to say Yes to that because I have read the sequel and I realize Book 1 was needed for Book 2 to have the impact it did.
Do not Listen to this book if you do not intend on listening to the sequel. You will be frustrated if you do.
Satisfying, Entertaining, Captivating
There are many memorable moments so it's hard to pick the most memorable. Perhaps the honeymoon scenes, but don't hold me to that.
Oh this is so hard, because I have so many favorites. Perhaps when Bella finds out Jacob has imprinted on Nessie, but don't hold me to that.
There is a lot of humor sewn into the fabric of this story so I found myself smiling a lot of the time during this book. The strongest reaction for me by far was in the final scene when Bella and Edward feel all hope is lost and Bella releases Nessie to Jacob. I cry every time I listen to this scene.
This is my favorite book in the series. I intend to listen to this entire series again and again.
Not exactly sure where I'd rank it...It is definitely one that I will listen to over and over. That in itself makes it a favorite.
Pretty much. Laughter, excitement, drama,
Laughed and Laughed, then laughed some more.
Explanation of C J Critt's performance. Her voices were fine but you could hear loud inhalations like a smoker inhaling and there were extremely long pauses, so long that you would think the book was over. These things detracted from the enjoyment of the book.
There was a humorous edge from the very beginning.
The big brawny blacksmith with his constant struggle between appearing stupid and sounding stupid.
This was like watching a movie without using your eyes.
I never listen to books all in one sitting. I would rather savor the book slowly, listening to several parts more than once.
This is a book based on faith and values. If you are looking for steamy sex encounters you might find this a bit tame.
A great listen
The conflict and sparring between Edward and Jacob
She is an exceptional reader
Laughed at the tent scene with Edward and Jacob
Second favorite in the series
I love the Twilight series, so I definitely would and will listen to new moon again. Of the 4 books New Moon is my least favorite, because it feels somewhat depressing.
Bella growing relationship with Jacob. The cliff diving scene where Bella gets caught in the fierce currents is one of my favorite.
The birthday party where Bella gets a paper cut opening her present is my favorite .
Edward's cold words when he left Bella make me angry.
This is a great series and I will be glad when I have all the books in this series.
