I love a good story, especially one with a bit of a dark side.

This book is about a bad ass girl who grows into a woman during this series. The plot is amazing and the stage is phenomenal. I can't say enough about this series, so I won't. I have hundreds of audio books from Audible, so don't take it lightly when I say this is my favorite. Get it. Listen to it.

Once every year, Scoutmaster Tim Riggs leads a troop of boys into the Canadian wilderness for a weekend camping trip - a tradition as comforting and reliable as a good ghost story around a roaring bonfre. The boys are a tight-knit crew. There’s Kent, one of the most popular kids in school; Ephraim and Max, also well-liked and easygoing; then there’s Newt the nerd and Shelley the odd duck. For the most part, they all get along and are happy to be there - which makes Scoutmaster Tim’s job a little easier.

Is this you King? Using a pin name again? If not Cutter is the ONE to watch. A classic King (or King style) and phenomenal story! Whoever it was that wrote this one, they did a fine job choosing the narrator. Thank you! Must read!

Why we think it’s a great listen: Got 40 hours to kill? You’ll find the time when you start listening to Lee’s take on Follett’s epic – and widely celebrated – novel of 12th-century England. The Pillars of the Earth tells the story of Philip, prior of Kingsbridge, a devout and resourceful monk driven to build the greatest Gothic cathedral the world has known...of Tom, the mason who becomes his architect - a man divided in his soul...and of the beautiful, elusive Lady Aliena, haunted by a secret shame....

This book was a filler for me after listening to all of the Game of Thrones book and still craving some medieval carnage. It wasn't anything like GoT but it WAS very good. I love the long books, so this one caught my eye, and the ratings were quit good so I bought it. It took me a couple of months before I actually listened to it and I was glad I had chosen it. The book is unpredictable, something that many books lack, and interesting. The thing about long books is that you become more involved with them, and that you can be a part of it. Hmmm. I'm not saying it like I wanted to. Long books are captivating, if they're good. This book is good, very good, and very long too. I listen to about two hours a day, my drive time, five days a week. So it lasted a long time, and I looked forward to what would happen the next drive every time I had to turn it off. Buy it. You'll like it.

With the "flattening" of the globe, has the world gotten too small and too fast for human beings and their political systems to adjust in a stable manner? Now in a third edition with a new preface, Friedman's account of the flattening of the earth is a modern classic.

This was written a while back but is even more relevant today than it was when it was written. Written by a great writer who knows his stuff and has been all over this world and interviewed some of the most influential people the world has known. I had a wonderful epiphany while listening to this book! I think it will change my life! The book is far out of the realm of my usual listening or reading curriculum, but I am so glad I gave it a shot. I recommend this book to everyone.

This is King in his original form. This is what made him famous! I loved this book and hope he does something similar for this to what he did with The Shining and Doctor Sleep. Great from beginning to end!

This is a great King book. I don't think I can give any King book a four star rating, I just can't. This one certainly deserves the five stars that I gave it. Somehow King can write about anything and make it interesting. The protagonist takes a boring trip to the grocery store, but somehow I'm glued to the book and on the edge of my seat. Amazing. Pure enjoyment.

This is the book where it all comes together and feels right. The dragons! I listened to all the books but found this one especially good. I don't think there's any need for me to write a lengthy review as there are already thousands to scan, just know that this book is the reward for spending all those hours listening to the first, second, fourth, and fifth books, not that they weren't entertaining and necessary. Looking forward to the sixth and seventh to come.
