"Strangely awesome!"
At first, I didn't think I would enjoy listening to the biography of a physicist, the subject alone seems daunting. But the author did a great job describing science in the simplest form that even a 5th grader could understand. I learned a lot from this book and highly recommend it to everyone.
"Amazing!"
My son who is 12 would occasionally listen with me while I'm driving, he would picked up a few snippets and was able to put it in good use at his school. What more if he listen to the entirety. Very well developed narration and really enjoyable listen.
The logical progression of the book.
Can't read while driving. He has to keep me engaged, which he did with flying colors.

Would recommend this book.
"Excruciatingly bad Chinese pronunciation"
NO!
The book is supposed to advice you on how to deal with Chinese, but the reading is sooooo bad and abhorrent especially the Chinese words that it gets really distracting.
Get someone who,is willing to invest in time learning how to read pinyin properly before reading for this kind of book.
I have to think hard where are the location being read because the pronunciation is horrid! The voice is fantastic though.
"Too subjective, starting with the numbers"
If only the reading of the Chinese words are closer to the proper pronunciation, and the numbers presented are not too subjective.
At first, it may sound objective enough with all the statistics being presented. After a while you'll realize the numbers are pretty much subjective to begin with. I don't trust the numbers at all.
Most of it!
The narrator totally bungled it up, all the pronunciation are terrible especially when it come to Chinese "ping-yin" he should have practice how to read pinyin properly before reading the book. The abhorrent pronunciation adds to the argument that the book is very biased to begin with, don't even know how to pronounce proper location, names and common Chinese words. If you think this book is balanced, it totally disagree, it is very subjective to the opinion of the author.
"Pretty Cool!"
although I haven't seen the printed edition, I'm sure listening to a good narrator reading the funny and amusing lines are icing on the cake.
It's very light hearted narration of the different characters you seldom hear in the history books. Learned a few people I possibly would never know as well.
I listen this audio book with my kids (teen agers) and even they have a few nice chuckle. Besides, they also learn a few characters as well.
There are a lot more people I think that should've been included but, over all, I really enjoyed the book. Great job.
"Very insightful!"
All claims has been supported by facts and statistics.

More alarmed than scared.
America, wake up, we are quickly relinquishing our status as the greatest nation on the planet to China. Stop the bickering and start concentrating in the real issue and fix the problems ASAP.
"Terrible narrator!"
There is nothing more criminal in butchering a good book by a lousy reader. The narrator couldn't pronounce a single Chinese word properly, it is so hard to follow sometimes when you have to think twice who the heck he is talking about. Like "Zhou Enlai" was read as "Chao" that's so wrong, it should be more like "Joe" and "Chiang" was read as "Chang" so it gets really confusing. Even as simple as "Jiang qing" was read as "Jiang King" and I won't even start with places. That's another disaster to listen to.
Long and short of it, the book is good, I like the detailed insights and story, but the narration gets into my nerves. Sorry. my rating is Story 4 stars and Narration 0 stars (If I could).
Wild Swan. Book is written by the same author and goes along the same format. I like it.
Learn how to read Chinese pinyin first before recording the book.

Please make sure the book reader knows how to pronounce chinese words before reading the book.
"Insane!"
One of the best book I listen to in a long time. A lot of insights and tidbits to learn from. I thoroughly enjoyed the narration and information on the book. It was a pleasant surprise after listening to it for a few minutes that it's not another Steve Jobs glorification or biographical book. It's a very straight forward of how Steve focus on "Simplicity" on everything he touches and thought off.
This book, I would highly recommend and won't mind listening to it over and over again.
First hand experience with the "Master" himself.
Absolutely, if I have all the time in the world.
Love the book, love it, love it, love it!
"Couldn't put down my iPhone!"
Awesome, Awesome story, couldn't wait for the next book to appear on Audible, gotta proceed, end up buying the Kindle edition!
"Biased"
The author only look at one side of facts and dismiss all others. A very narrow view of the true civilization of the Chinese historical development and purport that none of the artifacts proved anything but the western biased perspective.
