    It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

    What disappointed you about Gone Girl?

    Implausible plot, ridiculous dialogue, and unsatisfying conclusion. I was sorry I devoted so many hours to finish this book.


    Would you ever listen to anything by Gillian Flynn again?

    Probably not.


    What didn’t you like about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance?

    I found Kirby's voice really annoying, especially when he was imitating his father. Julia was okay.


    What character would you cut from Gone Girl?

    The profanity and sexual references were a little over the top, and I don't consider myself especially sensitive to that language.
