Yes and No. I always prefer to listen than read, but It is harder to use an audio book as a reference source than a hard copy.
Lots of ideas in this book and areas that you may want to look into further.
Clear and well modulated
Yes, and again immediately after.
highly recommend to anyone interested in aesthetics.
The author writes in a very accessable and entertaining manner. His approach to the subject matter is open minded and non judgmental. The book is packed full of interesting specific story's of people on the fringes of society but also raises questions about the how those on the fringe are treated and categorised by those supposedly in the centre.
The authors enthusiasm is contagious, the lectures are clear and interesting.
There is a lot of information, but it is broken down into sections making it all quite accessable.
I find the bits on illusions most fascinating
The idea about righting by starting: I remember....
No. I really only bought it for the sections on artists, which are very short and don't provide the sort of insight I was hoping for
I wouldn't exactly call this an enjoyable read. It is, however extremely well written and thought provoking, and wonderfully performed by Mr. Irons.
Lolita, because I'd want to hear the story from her point of view.
Very highly. This book is just what I was looking for.
The author is clear and informative and doesn't talk in that artificially soft voice wishy washy voice you get in a lot of books aimed at people trying to better themselves.
All of it
Although it is a short book, it is packed with ideas to think about and practice excersises. I have already listened to its twice, and I expect I will listen to it many more times. There are useful meditations at the end of the book to help begginers like me get underway.
A very good introduction to Buddhism and meditation. Highly recommended
A big part of Louis CK's act is visual, many of the jokes on this album suffer, or are completely lost because we can not see facial and bodily expressions. Better of getting a DVD.
this book is good but it seems old fashioned to me and I'm not sure the humour translates well into the 21st century
It did cover the topic broadly
Probably not. I think there are better intros to this subject area
These questions are stupid. This is a non fiction book!
OK but not great
Then this book is for you. It is a great counterpoint to the hollow, commercial contemporary art world.
