Wow, i just love this series, actually all of Kresley Coles books. This was just the best ever. The Narrator is excellent, does a very good job. It's got a bit of everything in this book and is HOT HOT HOT !! Can't wait for the next book... :)
Everything changes for Emma the day that she alters her normal routine and walks in on her best friend and roommate being raped by her boyfriend. Something inside her snaps when she realizes she has two choices - turn him in and risk punishment by his father’s mafia connections or kill him and run... The pain and suffering she watches her roommate endure, even for moments, makes that decision for her. She retrieves a gun and kills him herself. Sealing her fate and changing her life. Forever...
On the run with nowhere to go she has only one place to turn. Her brother’s oldest friend and now a hit man for a rival mafia group: Carter Reed... Carter Reed is absolutely swoon worthy, he’s super intense and a totally hot alpha male...
I cannot imagine the horror that Emma has had to survive to get to where she is at the beginning of this book, but to handle what was thrown at her the moment she walked into her apartment…I don’t want to imagine those feelings.
I really liked Carter’s character. He’s strong, but has this sweet and loving side that he only shows Emma - I loved Carter and Emma’s relationship. He’s totally alpha and does everything in his power to protect her.
Now if you are into a lot of description in the sex scenes you won’t get that here. You know when they are having sex, but not so much about what is actually going on. I actually liked the scenes as they were, it didn't distract from the actual story-line that was going on and you could see where they where and when their relationship was growing.
Lucy Rivers does a fantastic job narrating. Very enjoyable :)
When I first started this book, I was excited because I love stories about wild rock-stars that fall in love. This one hooked me in from the beginning, I instantly loved the chemistry between Eliza and Gage. I was addicted to the sexual tension between these two. They become involved and are soon smoking up the sheets. Hot stuff !
Eliza has had a tough childhood, if you can even call it a childhood. Her mother never cared about her, and let her get physically abused, but not in the sexual sense. Eliza isolated herself, not letting anyone in. She wanted normal, and to feel safe. She finally moved in with her homosexual father Ben, who happens to be the manager of FireNine, a rock-band. Ben tries to get her to come out of her shell. He invites her on to go on tour with them before heading to school. She reluctantly agrees, even though she doesn't want to be near Gage. A guy she has had a crush on for the longest time. Now, he seems to be interested in her. She tries not to fall for him. He insists on pursuing her.
Gage is the lead singer, guitarist and lyric writer from FireNine. He has also had a troubled upbringing, one he tries to hide from everyone. He covers up his pain in music, booze, and women. That is the only thing the numbs he feelings. Then he meets Eliza, his manager's daughter and he instantly wants to know her. She is different from any other girl. She makes him feel again. He relentlessly tries to have her, no matter how many times she pushes him away to just be friends. He knows he isn't good enough for her but the attraction is to strong - he falls in love :)
Veronica Meunch does an excellent job narrating. She bought this book to life :)
Like others i just fell in love with the Demonica Series by Larissa and couldn't wait to get my fangs into this new series. Very sadly, this book just had no grunt to it at all and i couldn't make it to the end... Even so, this won't put me of other Larissa's books as i know she can do a lot better than this :)
Nicole Martin was only eight years old when the vampire slaves rose up in rebellion and killed her family. Now she devotes her life to finding a vaccine against vampirism, hoping to wipe out her memories - along with every bloodsucker on the planet. But there’s one thing she cannot destroy: her searing, undeniable attraction for the one man she should hate and fear the most . . .
member of the renegade vampire MoonBound Clan, Riker is haunted by demons of his own. When he recognizes Nicole and remembers how her family enslaved his loved ones, his heart burns for vengeance. But when he kidnaps Nicole and holds her in a secret lair, his mortal enemy becomes his soul obsession, his greatest temptation, and, perhaps, his only salvation - a hot-blooded lover who could heal him with her touch . . . or bury him forever...
The Chaos, as it is known present day, was a series of cataclysmic environmental events that cast the earth into darkness. Survivors of the storms are slowly rebuilding and learning to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The MC’s went underground, literally, and have emerged as their own government practicing dangerous politics in the name of keeping the MC strong and thriving. But there is no harmony between rival gangs and no one is to be trusted. Internally, the Defiance MC is seeing some turbulence as well. The older governing members rule with archaic laws and some of the younger up-and-comers think it’s time for change. When Tru, the prodigal daughter of the former MC enforcer is returned to the MC disgraced and beaten for rejecting a rival club leader, she doesn't receive a warm welcome from her MC. She is not trusted because she dishonored the MC when she ran from her abusive father and eventually took up with a rival gang for protection.
The narrator was great but i could not get emotionally involved with this story. My mind kept wandering of and that is not a good sign. Think this one is a return :(
Sadie is a vampire who never knew why vampires could not feed of shape shifters until she meets her mate and fed from him realizing that now she could not feed off anyone else. Therefore, she searched for him until she was virtually starving and practically dead. Sadie then has to reevaluate her life and her choices...
Trey is the Alpha of the New York pack and has waited centuries for his mate only to lose her. When he stumbles across her, again he will move heaven and earth to get his pack to accept her. Trey comes across as a hot and sexy alpha who is head over heels in love with his mate..
The chemistry between Trey and Sadie is blistering. The sex scenes were hot and steamy and i sooo enjoyed this book. This is the 3rd book in this series and i am eagerly looking forward to the 4th. :)
Her first big reporting assignment for her North Carolina college newspaper has her covering a state senator’s impromptu press conference. Brady Maxwell may have everything it takes to be a politician - a winning pedigree, devastating good looks, a body made to wear suits - but his politics rub Liz the wrong way. When Liz’s hard-hitting question catches the upstart senator off-guard, it impresses Hayden Lane, Liz’s editor who feels she’s headed for a promising career as a reporter.
But Liz is also headed into a secret romance with Brady that could destroy both their ambitions. Though he’s a bachelor, potential voters might frown on Brady cozening up to a reporter. And Liz isn't sure sneaking around is enough for her - especially when things between her and Hayden might be less platonic than she thought.
I really enjoyed this story. It was packed with Heat and sneaky sex that kept the excitement up. Natalie Ross is one of my favorite narrators and she bought all the characters to life beautifully. :)
I started off loving this book and ended up wondering how a good book manages to fall so hard on its ass. Danielle turned from being a complete innocent to (in her words) a vamp slut. God that girl could fall in love fast. For me it made the whole concept of her and Chase as soul mates totally unbelievable. There was not one male in this book who I could truly Cheer on, there were just too many. Sadly this book was not for me and i am very uncertain if i will continue on with this series...
Monroe is a very Hot and Alpha Dominant Skin Walker that can change into an animal at will... Eden, who is a very strong willed lady, is a Game Warden for the State's Dept of Fish, Wildlife and Park and is is also considered a law enforcement officer... Put these two together with a bunch of friction, animosity and sexual tension then watch the Sparks Fly...
I really enjoyed this book. Susan Bliler is a new author for me and i will defiantly be grabbing the rest of this series once released on Audible. It's a bit of a shame we didn't get to start this series from the first book in the Skin Walkers series...
In the beginning of the book, Lexie's boyfriend of several years dumps her and she goes running into the arms of her stepbrother and best friend, Trent. Their parents married when they were in their early teens, which slightly removes some of the ick factor. She knows she's loved Trent for a long time, but realizes that love is changing from familial to something more. Days after they do the deed, she's whisked off to Italy for a year of studying abroad.
Let me pause here and stress that Lexie understands it's not socially acceptable to sleep with her stepbrother. She feels guilty, knows it's gross, and is completely weirded out by the whole thing, which is why she's thankful to have a continent separating them both. There's a whole lot of awkward between Trent and Lexie, and distance helps, but while they do talk about it a little before she departs, there's plenty of texting and phone calls to add to the awkwardness, while also making it painfully obvious that there are still unexplored feelings between the two.
Cue Alessandro, the sexy, Italian deacon Lexie meets when she visits a church to confess her sins Lexie isn't a particularly religious person, but she's willing to do just about anything to rid herself of the stepbrother sex guilt.
Lexie and Alessandro's relationship skirts the boundaries of taboo for most of the book, with a lot of harmless flirting that starts getting heavier as the book progresses. Because Alessandro hasn't been ordained (although he has taken his vow of chastity), Lexie feels slightly less horrible about thinking about doing dirty deeds with the deacon. Alessandro is incredibly patient, sweet and encourages Lexie in her studies. He's awesome basically. I don't want to reveal any spoilers about what happens between him and Lexie or Lexie and Trent, but it's somewhat obvious from the start. To complement this Sexy story Anadelle Waters does a great job narrating and i just loved Trent's voice. :)
I have just loved every book in the With Me series by Kristen, so of course I was dying to get my hands on Tied with Me, the latest book in the series. Within this series, Kristen has written about every type of Hottie imaginable so far, a rock star, a sexy man with tattoos and a motorcycle, a movie star, a professional football player, and an ex-Navy SEAL. So, it was fitting for the next leading man to be a sexy police detective that dabbles in BDSM...
Matt Montgomery is a natural protector and the one that his siblings lean on for support and strength. He has a great job as a Seattle police detective, but with his dominant tendencies and his “secret” fetish for BDSM, he hasn't been able to find the one person he can share his life with. That is until Nic walks into his life. He realizes that she isn't the typical submissive, but something about her draws him in...
Shy and insecure Nic Dalton is the owner of a successful cupcake bakery. She loves her business and her close friends, but due to life-long medical conditions she finds it easier to push people away then be hurt when she can’t live the life that most take for granted. After a chance meeting with Matt leaves her reeling, for once she wants more and finds herself interested in things she never thought she would enjoy...
As always with Kristen's books, the sexy portions of the book were off the charts and Oh SO YUMMY -- Nic and Matt definitely didn't lack sexual chemistry and bringing in BDSM added a whole Lift to the book. Matt was dominate in the bedroom, but he wasn't your typical Dom who liked to control all aspects of Nic’s life, he knew when to assert his authority and when to back off. Tied with Me also gave us a small glimpse back into the characters that we have all thoroughly enjoyed in the previous books in the series and we were also given a pretty obvious idea of who book 7 will be about. I'll be snatching it up as soon as Audible releases it... :)
