"Awesome"
I'm learning German, Spanish and French at the moment (I have time, besides Geman is similar to English, Spanish is similar to French so it all works out)
I have Learn in Your Car for all these languages. They help me with practicing word order, vocabulary and pronunciation. For the price, it is terrific!
Plus, it's a great skill enhancer. The voice says it in English, gives you time to say it in the French language, and then it says it in French as it should be. It's a wonderful way to get better at French.
BTW I'm also using Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur and Berlitz Rush Hour for both and I can easily converse with a native of these languages, and I'm just getting started. Check with me in four months :)
"Excellent! I jot down each word..."
I love this, I got this a few years ago... I couldn't get to it sooner because not having the list of words prevented me from learning the words.
But now, I'm galvanized, inspired, I have a notebook and I jot down each word, then check its spelling online (online dictionaries, use ones u trust)... the system of pneumonics are really helpful, I like the readers, it's actually a lot more fun than reading a vocabulary list.
Again, I love it!
"Basic, Helpful"
There's an accompanying pamphlet to this (I wish audible had it on this page) but I found it at http://www.pulpgamer.com (mentioned in the beginning of this audio)
I have to take notes eg. don't pronounce the r's unless it's before a vowel, something like that--I have to rewind and write these tips down
"Only Unabridged Please..."
I like this book and all the Conversations with God book, but I like the unabridged version.
This book is life changing, life evolving--please no more abridged versions.
I'm looking forward to having his Home with God in a Life that Never Ends audio--unabridged!
"Like Pimsleur"
I like that it includes a downloadable PDF file to read.
This works like Pimsleur, with dialogues. I would like it to be a lot longer though.
"Bad Audio"
It's true, you have to raise the volume to the max in order to hear.
"Fine Basics"
It's easy listening. Make sure to read the booklet and get the spelling, that helped me with remembering the words.
"Fun Learning German"
I'm an adult learning German. I would love to have the picture book that goes with this but the downloadable transcript audible gives you is fine. I'm learning lots of new words, sentence structure etc from this book.
thanks Berlitz (Rush Hour Berlitz is great too!)
"Easy to Learn"
I took 3 years of French in junior high and haven't used it since. It's been twenty years and when I got this I didn't think I would remember much. This audio helps me remember words and sentences easily. I learned a lot of new words too. For the price, this is great! I wish they were all Unabridged though.
"Nice Story, Reading a little monotonous"
such a successful book, but the audio book reader's monotonous.
plus it's a book whose characters are from mexico, so I feel the narrator should at least have a hint of Mexican accent, but no, nada.
