No stone left unturned. Steamy and Hot, Mystery and Drama. I was concerned Brenda was drifting to an unknown land after I read a previous book. It seemed rushed and imcomplete. This was better.
People are often confused of the times as they were when the bible was written. This book (series) brings that all into perspective. So many quotes and vivid characters I will carry for the rest of my days.
Another great addition to the series. Still deep, still steamy. Narration is good but instead of yelling or screaming dramatic parts, she does this weird whisper thing like she doesn't want to wake someone (shrugs)
I have no idea why she titled this book lick. Have me the feel it would have little substance. Due to the sale I went for it. Sexy, sweet, dramatic, and real.
After finishing the Colorado Mountain Series by this author, I started Rock chicks. Similar action, murder mystery and love story but the steam fell off a cliff. I absolutely hate it when writers do that. Per haps Rock Chick was first and then she got more detailed with the Colorado Mountain series. Not sure.
I am enjoying this series but I feel the author passes up many opportunities to add drama and mystery. I cant really explain without spoiling so I will leave it at that. She stages a perfect plot and then it goes flat. I do applaud the attention to details that bringing readers close to the characters....and of course its HOT!
A "something new" romance. I thought some of the decisions made by the main character were unrealistic for someone with a legal background....but books don't have to be realistic. Sexy, mysterious, surprising.
This is a well written story but requires your patience as it drags out the story line to force the next book. Steamy in the romance department once the author got to it. Too many sad moments for my taste, but probably realistic nevertheless .
The book started very slow then peaked as fast as a kid grows up on a soap opera. I never got to truly know the characters and then it was over. Cary Hite (who is usually pretty good) sounds unrehearsed and you can actualy hear him correct himself on the recording. The female voices are horid.
Mary's debute writtings were WONDERFUL, mature, and erotic. This series is soooo unrealstic. Many characters but not one you can root for fully. Whinny women, weak rich men, no champions, fake friendships. What man will let his girl live with his brother? What friend allows another woman to sleep under her husbands roof and not do anything about it. Over it. I usually like Cary Hite but he made all the characters sound like they had special needs.
