This book is the first in the series. As with any series the characters aren't fully developed but they are interesting and the plot is good.
A little romance between 3 possible suitors, a little mystery that seems to involve murder, and family drama as her parents are on the run and she tries to care for her 19 year old brother who lacks personal judgement and self-control.
I quickly bought the second in the series and am really glad that I did.
No surprises in this book... Stephanie is surrounded by wacky characters carrying guns, some of the gun toters are friends and some are bad guys.
All of the Stephanie Plum novels are intricately woven in details but still are entertaining and an easy listen.
I highly recommend the Stephani Plum Series I am a true fan of this comedic mystery series and fully intend on attending a book signing next year!!
Read the Elvis Cole series before you rad this book. I enjoy the Elvis Cole mystery series and never really gave much thought to his silent partner.
Watchmen has changed that completely. We are now presented with the human side of Joe. Elvis Cole plays a supporting role in this novel giving the novel a little brevity.
As a long-time dieter with varying degrees of success, I liked this book.
One of the tips regarding hunger is to really look at why you are eating. If it is not for hunger then you should follow the source of what is causing you to eat. I truly felt fearful as i looked inward.
This travel to the source is helpful for anyone. I was never beaten or abused or suffered devastating losses but yet I can see the voids I created in my life.
Even if you think your relationship with food is completely normal it will open your eyes to other areas in your life.
A candid raw story of human survival. The plights of the children in this story are unbelievable to someone born in America.
It is a sad and terrifying journey for the boys of Sudan but by the end of the book there is a sense of hope and amazement for all that they overcome. I was so moved I went to the author's site and donated money to his organization.
I bought this book based on the reviews saying how funny the text. I found the book intriguing, humorous and very very well written.
Although I liked the plot of a philandering dead president at the hands of a first lady who often threw objects at her husband. Not at one point did I laugh out loud hysterically.
Now my boyfriend entered the room and listened to a few minutes and he couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't hear the book he was laughing so loud and frequently. Very annoying.
The humor reminds me of Carry On Jeeves and The hitchhiker's Guide series. Mush more modern and entertaining.
I gave it 5 stars because it is so well written and I will probably read another from the author.
This series is one in which you must start from teh begining with Body Movers. The entire series builds upon the characters and is really one long plot line.
This one long plot line is also why I am getting burned out. The author insists on cliff hangers for the final line in the series. For the first three books that was great but now I feel like there will never be a "conclusion".
There are so many sub plots in this book that no single plot is really propeled forward. I will read the next in the series but not for awhile.
Body Movers 1,2,3 are really good sexy romantic mysteries that are intriguing to read.
I like this series, I have only read three but i gave it 5 stars because I will definitely read the next in the series.
Andy and his dog tara are gentle and kind with a dry sense of humor that makes me chuckle. The mystery plot is well written and all of the clues are there if you can catch them. I can never figure out the murderer but once revealed it is an obvious choice.
The other reviews are right, there could not be a more perfect narrator.
I totally enjoy the series and have read the Stephanie Plum series a couple of times. Finger Lickin Fifteen is both funny and tantalizing. After reading the book I didn't feel satisfied-- I wanted more. It is a frustrating feeling but shows how the series is well written.
You will listen to hundreds of diet tips submitted by real life dieters. Some of the tips are quite useful others are just quite funny. The narrator did an amazing job of keeping the list flowing.
