Would you consider the audio edition of Matter of Time: Vol. 1 to be better than the print version?

No not really - but it is not a bad performance. The voice of the storyteller was a little bit different in my head - younger sounding and lighter.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character, who also tells the story - Jory. He is weird, flawed and absolutely perfect at the same time. His personality is actualy the main reason why this is an amazing story. You cant help loving him and the way his mind work. It makes you listen to the story with a smile on your face.

What does Paul Morey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Cant really tell you - nothing?

Who was the most memorable character of Matter of Time: Vol. 1 and why?

    se above...

    Any additional comments?

Best book by Mary Calmes by far - but you might want to wait until you can listen to all of the books in the "Matter of time" series - because this book is only the begining of the story.

I like the fact that you accually feel like the MC are real peope with real problems. I especially liked the fact that the entire background story isnt told right upfront and as the story unfolds, you begin to get a better feel for the MC.
Other than that it is also an ever-after lovestory.
Worth a listen but not in my top ten
    Narrator fine.

I love PNR and this is not a bad book, the author is not bad and the story is not comepletly as straight forward as most shifter stories. There is of course the bad guys and the good guys but surprisingly also some inbetween - who stays there in limbo throughout the story, which i find is not common in this genre and i enjoyed the fact that not all the characters where comepletely black or white.
I may listen to the rest when availiable - but it is not so remarkable that i will remember it in two weeks but not many books (especially from this genre) are.
And I guess thats my point - you will feel entertained and get away from the real world for a while - and then you will be able to pick up where you left of and not think about it again.
    Narrator is fine.

Awarded honorable mention in both the Rainbow Awards and the NLA: International Writing Awards for BDSM fiction! In war, sex is the most potent weapon. The kingdom is threatened by the marauding attacks from neighboring nations, and by treachery within the castle walls. Our two heroes have been thrust into a dangerous world, as Jorin has been slave-bonded to a powerful mage and Kenet has become magically bound to the general of the army.

I dont think i ever read a book where the sexual relationship acually plays a vital role in the story in a way that everyting in the story is depending on how "well" they do it. Weird but it sort of works - the story is still well thought-through.

I read diana palmers "before sunrise" and liked it, so i tried this one. But NO. I really didnt like this book. The female mc is just too naive and i spent most of my time listening hoping that she would snap out of it. The entire storyline evolves around the fact that she thinks that the only way all men get anything from a sexual relationship is to hurt women - and its not the fact that she thinks that - because of course you can be traumatized - but she just isnt making sense - I got so irritated that i forgot to listen to the ending.

Four years ago, Erin's life changed drastically. Her drug-addicted brother killed her parents, and her marriage disintegrated. Her husband Matt, an FBI agent, had done his duty when he'd arrested Stuart, but she'd been too caught up in her own grief to allow him to help her move through the shadows of pain. Now Matt is back, but it isn't to attempt reconciliation. Her brother has escaped from Attica, and Erin is his next target. Matt will stop Stuart by any means necessary.

I was a little surprised that this book got perfect reviews - granted - not reviewed by many, but seriously? The story is just okay, not any better or worse than other romantic suspense novels. But the narrator is horrible - trying way too hard to sound sexy and mysterious and the narration of the female mc makes her sound like she doesnt have any braincells at all. The book would probably be a lot better read as an actual book.

The summary was what made me buy this - it sounded like a good storyline. It is and the book is not bad but i think that it had more potential than it accually showed. I liked the MCs but their background could have been explored more and thier characters could have been developed more. The drama before the happy-ever-after could with their background stories have been more explosive - because is that not what we look for in gay-for-you stories - a lot of conflict and then solution? It would have lifted this story too another level. As it is, its not a bad buy - just not the best either.

I listened to this many, many books ago and normally i forget most of them again to the point that i have no idea why they are in my library. This one i still remember and usually it is a good indication of the quality of the book - the ones with impact factor stays with me. So - this is a lovestory, but its not a fairytale - if you like the more serious MM books you will probably like this one.
