The only reason I am not giving this book five stars is because of the technical problems. I found myself comparing The Disney Companies to companies for which I have worked and the people to those with whom I have worked. I am coming away with a little more understanding of the frustrations and personalities of the higher ups in the organizations. I have worked with a few Eisners and it "ain't fun".
Anna, I think. She is funny, witty, strong and doesn't mince words. At the same time, she is loving, caring protective.
The confrontation of Seth's mother in the bar by the family.
Laugh but not cry, that happened in the earlier books.
I was continually more disappointed with each book in the series because when it got to the climax, the story ended quickly. I would have wanted to have the wedding be part of the ending.
When Frank and Olivia realized that they hadn't fought hard enough to save their marriage.
When Frank confronted Shane.
The story of the struggle to escape a life affected by an alcoholic father and domestic abuse.
Probably not. It didn't have enough substance for me.
Roses: a Novel. Both main characters owned land and fell in love with men they shoudn't have.
When Carrie got was able to establish a graveyard of the soldiers.
This was on my wish list for years. I finally decided I had to listen to it or remove it.I think I was expecting a little more history of the Civil War rather than a story of the local area.
The strength of the characters.
When Jacob's mother realized his quilt was gone and that it was found at the
Helps to visualize the story.
I didn't laugh or cry but I had quite a few
I think I will be listening to more Jodi Picoult books. I had this on my wish list for a couple of years before I purchased it. Several people in my book club said it was one of their favorites.
I would recommend it to a friend as good
When Sophie and Louie talked about their future after he found out she was pregnant. It was so honest and down to earth, not sappy.
Sure, though the voice she used for Louie made him sound silly.
The Patchwork Family.
No. Because its short on content.
Yes and did.
Really funny and something most parents can identify with.
I truly enjoyed this book. After reading this book, Barbara Walters has become one of my favorite celebrities. There are tidbits about so many famous people.
Very wordy but a classic. Interesting characters. I found myself talking aloud to the characters in frustration for their plight. A lot of long speeches but the book held my interest. Good comparison to current events.
Brings to light the French Holocaust of which not many people are aware. The story was a little too coincidental but entertaining.
This book is enlightening if you care one way or another. Even though Andrew Young does a lot of whining, he does admit that he was foolish to get sucked in. It sheds light on both John and Elizabeth Edwards. What manipulators!
