Ah, And I thought nothing could outdo my family on Christmas! This story about a family coming together after the father's death provided characters and a tablou that continually made me smile in my head. I do not usually like books that are described as witty, but the characters, dialogue between them, and the unfolding of the story, I thoroughly enjoyed.
Compelling story. Reviewers said that the reader was very bad, but I found it very listenable. Don't know what all the fuss was about.
although I enjoyed the beginning of this book and the concept of someone being able to see lives through the camera lens, I got ever so tired of the lead character's headache. The book seemed to go on and on. By the end, I really didn't care what was going on with the water.
this book might be good for a young reader.
this story calls on the reader to walk through a number of generations of a young woman's history. At times I could feel that I could hear the music of other times and see the sights. I thought this book was very well read and enjoyed the mystery of it.
Long, tedious and boring
My book group decided to read this and in the beginning I thought I hated It. If you fast forward through some of the too long philosophical material you will find a lovely story well written and well read. I ended up enjoying it immensely
Clearly, this is the second book in what is going to be a longer series. I for one am thrilled. I loved the first book but this one can stand alone. A wonderful intracit read
