Israeli art restorer and occasional secret agent Gabriel Allon has a problem. He finds a prominent Swiss banker dead in front of his Raphael, and he's the prime suspect. After some diplomatic intervention, Allon is freed. However, the banker's daughter tells him that her father's French Impressionist paintings, acquired under dubious circumstances during WWII, have been stolen by the murderers. Once Allon knows about the wartime misdeeds, he is pursued by a shadowy killer known only as "the Englishman."

    "Narrator was poor!!"

I really enjoyed the story, however the narrator was driving me crazy. Gabriel Allon is Israeli..not German. Why he was reading Gabriel with a German accent was beyond me. The narrator of Kill Artist hit the accents perfectly. This narrator I would rather he just use no accent at all.

This was the best read in a long time! I did miss Harv- though. Bring Harv back in the next novel.

This no holds barred, lethal giant protecting that little girl was such a great story line. Trying to be a gentleman, a father figure, an uncle, and a protector in one was very intriguing and at times laugh out loud hilarious.

There were no bad parts at all in this novel. I was gripped the entire time. PURE PERFECTION!!!

But remember, give us Harv back.

When a fragile peace breaks down and promptly devolves into a rapidly escalating shooting war between Pakistan and India, the U.S. must intervene. With only hours remaining before the conflict reaches a deadly point of no return, the White House must find a way to shut it down immediately or risk the likelihood of a new global war. A radical cleric has become the democratically elected president of Pakistan and uses a brutal incident in the Kashmir region as an opportunity to ignite war with India. The highly lethal conventional war spins out of control when Pakistan initiates a nuclear attack.

Let me say this first. Yes I would definitely recommend this series. Dewey is great! I miss the first narrator though. My biggest problem with this book as well as the first is, theres just not enough of Dewey. Often Mr Coes rambles on in parts that really don't make a difference to the story, like hes trying to add way to much filler. For instance, in this book he rambles on for a good 10 minutes about this guy working in a copper tunnel, describing in detail the dump truck, the rocks, the driller and on and on, I was like come onnn! My god I had to fast forward it to the next chapter. Its almost like he lost complete concentration and just went off into left field.

My ride to work takes me about 1 hour 15 minutes. I believe I went stretches of about 30 minutes where there was no dewey! Why? However, despite that when Mr. COes decides to get to the point, the story and action are really good. I do find myself fast forwarding at times. But I do like Dewey!

Bravery. Honor. Sacrifice. These are more than mere words to trained Marine sniper Nathan McBride. He’s never backed away from danger and he’s not about to start now, even if it means confronting the cold-blooded interrogator who tortured him to the brink of death more than a decade ago.

I'm going to keep this short and simple. Way to go Mr. Peterson! This duo (Nate and Harv) are unbeatable! The story is well rounded. Characters are believable. I cannot wait for your next book! Jack Baur, Mitch Rapp, Nate and Harv. If we had these four we wouldnt have any such thing as terrorists!

When you're the best at what you do, it's not always easy to walk away. Nathan McBride was retired. The trained Marine sniper and covert CIA operative had put the violence of his former life behind him. But not anymore. A deep-cover FBI agent has disappeared along with one ton of powerful Semtex explosive, enough to unleash a disaster of international proportions. The U.S. government has no choice but to coax Nathan out of retirement.

I gave this book a try after reading the reviews! Glad I did! Story was one suprise after another. Kept it real to. Nate is a true hero and loved his partner Harvey. Dont stop with this series!
