One of the most enjoyable listens ever. I've been listening for several years, now, mostly fiction. Before this book I had about zero interest in the geographical area or the sport of the story. I laughed out loud occasionally, I tensely waited the next plot development at times, and even got tears in my eyes a couple of times, something that never happens to me. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this book. Great story, great narration.

There isn't much fun in the sun when a billionaire real estate tycoon is found murdered on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a seedy seaside amusement park in the otherwise quiet summer tourist town of Sea Haven. John Ceepak, a former MP just back from Iraq, has just joined the Sea Haven police department. The job offer came from an old Army buddy who hoped to give Ceepak at least a summer's worth of rest and relaxation to help him forget the horrors of war. Instead, Ceepak will head up the murder investigation.

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Wonderful story, great narration. Frequently I just sat and listened, something I almost never do. I listen to books on my daily walks or while I'm gardening but with this book I often kept listening after the walk or gardening. Terrific.

Returning from a covert mission, Mitch Rapp was publicly hailed by the president for his role in the fight against terrorism. After years of working in the shadows, Rapp was caught in the media spotlight - and marked for death by virtually every terrorist in the world. Now a CIA advisor, Rapp is ready to battle terror far from the front lines. But when a Navy SEAL team in the Philippines is ambushed, all evidence points to a leak within the U.S. State Department. And a greater threat lurks....

I am a fan of George Guidall who did his usual masterful job. I am new to Vince Flynn and am about to download another. Almost from the beginning I was glued to listening. Intriguing and believable story. Although a few things seemed MAYBE a little far fetched, the plot and narration made everything completely real for me. Very highly recommended!

People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

Different than my usual (Connelly, Child, etc.) I almost did not get it. Sooo glad I did. Great fun, laughed out loud repeatedly, kept my interest all the way through. Once I got a little bored, but just as soon as I realized I was bored, something happened that perked me up again. Highly, highly recommended.

It's a sad and eerie harbinger of our times that the Oprah-watching, crystal-rubbing, Whole Foods-shopping moms and their whipped attorney husbands have taken the ability to reason away from the poor schlub who makes the Bloody Marys. What we used to settle with common sense or a fist, we now settle with hand sanitizer and lawyers. Adam Carolla has had enough of this insanity and he's here to help us get our collective balls back.

At first, very funny. I was laughing out loud. The story of school was fun. Then, more and more, he thought it funny to put down everyone who is not him. Lots of foul language that I guess the author thinks makes it funny, If you like to hear constant cursing for no reason, if you like to hear rants about other people, you might like this. Maybe it gets better -- I won't find out. I finally turned it off after about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way through.
