Yes, my friends and I have a healthy addition it Urban Fantasy that lives in today's time and with today's sense of humor. This book specifically explains how she was taken care of, why and how things happened, and the actual 1st meeting of Sam and Anna.
Her neighbor was a trip! I don't want to give away any other parts b/c it tells too much but the action/fighting was awesome is how I can sum it up.
The Only one's I've listened to were the other Alpha and Omega stories and he does REALLY well to me. I like the way he voices Sam, he really does sound like how I would see him sounding. Also does a very good job with the other voices too.
I wouldn't say there was a specific part moved me as much as it just made the other stories make more sense than they did the 1st time I listened to them.
I didn't use a credit since the price was under $10 but I say that it was worth it! The Alpha & Omega Series is very good and this would be a great investment to go with the series, especially if you're a fan of Mercy Thompson which is a sister series to this one. It flows well and is an easy read, good adventure/ romance.
Yes, it has a narrator that does a wonderful Texan (Southern Texan) accent and her flares are all in the right places, being a Texan I have appreciation for such things and also the story is GOOD! I'm a fan of the western mixed with dry humor and these Co-authors did a great job of telling the story.
While they were in the truck, dangling after a spin out and Carlin was worried about the eggs not the fact that they were in a truck in a tree, also the way she tries to keep Zeke at a distance and for him to only realize moments later that he got his butt handed to him is funny and the way she takes charge of the things she hasn't EVER done is just awesome!
Like I said before, the narrator is southern and it's awesome to hear it naturally spoken instead of over embellished like some other series I've heard samples of. There's a difference between modern southern belle and hollywood southern belle. This one to me is modern.
I don't want to say extreme as much as I can agree it was definitely hard to put down and I loved the parts that made me laugh b/c I had to rewind a little each time for things I'd miss after laughing. (My husband jumped each time I laughed out of no where b/c I was having so much fun with this story line)
Can't wait until the next book comes out!!! I WILL be looking forward to seeing the release date since this one came out last November (2012) I hope it's not going to be forever until the next one! It IS an easy read and should be taken as such, books aren't meant to be "taken seriously" otherwise you miss the enjoyment of getting lost in a book! ENJOY!
Yes, it's always good to read book 3 before 4 and after 2 LOL!
If it's Iron Druid then yes, I'm new to listening to his stories but so far I love the dry sense of humor and characters so I would be open to other series of his.
"Bacon Lattes? Why haven't you served me one?" "Because they don't exist!""Yes they do, you just mentioned it so there for they do exist! Werewolves exist, vampires exist so then Bacon lattes exist! Let's go to Starbucks and get one RIGHT NOW!"
Yes and b/c I'm not too happy with the cliffhanger ENDING!!! Warning! Get book 4 to immediately read (listen to) after 3, it's a shocker!
I lost focus on some of it just b/c it wasn't keeping my attention and the traveling before the battle went on too long in my personal opinion while shoving other new characters in to the mix to where I would have to back up a few times to figure out who XYand Z were again but mainly those that you already know and the lightening God are the important ones anyways so don't be discouraged to the point of skipping or giving up on it b/c it does have vital information and funny stuff to continue on the journey with Atticus!
Yes, currently listening to the series in order to get the feel of the collection together
Why? B/c it was an awesome adventure and not the typical trio of the Hollows. I got to know Quen, Al, Newt and Trent etc more (which I was really really excited about)
It is a melodious adventure, refreshing but still very familiar
There are many but I think the 2 that stuck out the most w/o giving too much away for the "future reader" is When Rachel was in another one of Al's dreams while he was searching for his inner self &When Ellasbeth was put in her place by Quen after Rachel "talked" to her,
Yes all I would have to say is Chapter 16 and Chapter 27 made me so flustered, mad at Nick, being who he is and trying to play stupid when the results actually happened. Coward!! If you hated Nick before you'll plot your own version of his end in this book lol!
It is a must listen. All of the Hollows books are awesome, this one is very unique and I absolutely love it! Currently waiting on a few friends to finish their copy so I can talk about it!!
... when they do auditions for sub-reader, they at least make it known that since they are coming into the middle there's a few things that they have to do/say correctly OR they just need to wait until the original is available to do the book, I wouldn't mind waiting a few months if it ment having the same person. Not only are my complaints the same as others especially about Jenks's voice but about other's too! Towards the end, to me everyone started to "sound the same" so it wasn't until the reader addressed who had said what until I realized who it was that spoke. I love the Hallows but I was disappointed to the point of "speed listening" to where I don't really remember much. I'm even one to give a chance to a sub-reader but this.. was eye twitching painful.
