Miles Halter is fascinated by famous last words - and tired of his safe life at home. He leaves for boarding school to seek what the dying poet Francois Rabelais called the "Great Perhaps." Much awaits Miles at Culver Creek, including Alaska Young. Clever, funny, screwed-up, and dead sexy, Alaska will pull Miles into her labyrinth and catapult him into the Great Perhaps.

Looking for Alaska brilliantly chronicles the indelible impact one life can have on another.

This book was so well written. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me think. The characters are realistic, the connections between the characters are relatable, and the overall message is beautiful.

This is a good book. This is not a great book. And compared to the other 2 books in the hunger games series, it is fairly slow. The narration is great, as always, and it is worth reading if you enjoyed the first 2. However, for a book I was so desperately excited to read, it was a bit disappointing.

There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

and then you get to the second half and you will be tempted to stop listening/reading. It has so much potential, and then it becomes a complete copycat of Twilight, but it makes less sense, is written worse, and ends by explaining almost nothing. Without giving anything away, it's hard to explain why this book is so bad, but it was one of the worst books I have read in years. Narrator is decent though, and the first half of the book is tolerable.
