"Great easy listen"
A fun and easy listen when you are looking for something to relax to. I would also say that it seemed to go by much more quickly than the allotted time.
"Hard to understand using #4 Audio"
I think I should have downloaded the enhanced audio version, because it was pretty hard for me to understand most of the lines. I had to keep the audio up all of the way just to try and understand it, and even that didn't help during the whispering scenes.
"Laugh and cry"
A great laugh of a book, 'what a laugh!' as the English love to say... yet really sad at the same time. When listening to it, you do find yourself laughing out loud quite a bit. But being someone with depressive tendencies of my own, I couldn't help feeling that overall this book did bring my mood down a bit.
The different voices/actors used for the different characters really make this a great audio listen. I think I would have preferred this book on audio, as opposed to reading it.
"Incredible book, not necessarily for audio"
What an amazing novel! Absolutely enjoyed this... the imagery was my favorite part, and the relationship between the boy and the father really should make this book universally appealing.
Only reason I didn't give this five stars was because I think this book would have been better read than listened to it. Some parts I would have preferred to stop and dwell a bit. The prose is really magnificnt in a few places, and I feel that the audio experience might have made them seem a bit cheap.
