I have varied taste in books but almost always avoid formula genres. Some romance is good in a story but a romance story is not for me

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

What made the experience of listening to Gone Girl the most enjoyable?

It was a real surprise to me so far as plot goes. It got very creepy.

What did you like best about this story?

    It suprised me.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ?

They would be fine if the man didn't try to sound like a woman and woman try to sound like a man, when referring to what the other character said. Very annoying.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    not what you think

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.
