I was disappointed in this book. The message came out in the main book

This book gives some great tips on where to go with a practice. The main consideration is avoiding hourly billing and suggestions how to do this. When speaking with clients, they would rather have a predictable fee, even if it's a bit higher.

The book tries to deal with lawyer's big egos by speaking down to them. Won't work. Those are the ones who won't read this book.

I thought this would be a nuts and bolts book with examples and templates. Most the book was explaining the e-myth and why it applied to lawyers. Either the lawyer gets it or doesn't. No point it explaining.

This book is incredibly thought- provoking! I love books that developer or change the way I see the world or my life. This book achieves that in a way that kept my attention. Because of that I see as a must listen to book. It is my favourite book at this moment. I now hove lots of books I think are the best I've listened to so it's hard to say its my favourite as it may be a lie.

I'm glad I bought it.

The narrator keeps the story moving. At the end of the book there are interviews conducted by the author. The author has a different accent.

This book makes you consider the subtleties of being truthful and honest and the many unconscious, reasons for dishonesty. The book shows how mass deception can be acceptable in organizations such as Enron and in our governments.

The author does many social experiments and many of the outcomes are counter-intuitive. Those findings were the most provocative part of the book.

I also enjoyed the end of the book where the author let us listen to interviews with others he collaborated with in the formulation of his findings expressed in the book.

I'm over 50 and my 18 yr old step daughter recommended this book, both I think so that I would understand how she sees Christ and Christianity, and how I should consider it.It sat in my library for a year before I finally listened to it.It was a great book that hit right at my criticisms of church and Christianity. Churches have a challenge balancing their missions to serve and minister with maintenance and preservation. There are so many stories of pastors and church members sacrificing those they don't like so the church is a more comfortable place serving those who contribute financially or in other ways.Shane has the same concerns and addresses them in a non-judgmental and non-confrontational way.Shane talks about where he sees the churches should be; how ministering to the poor and downtrodden is one of the highest callings one can achieve, and how easy it is to lose site of this.In listening to this book I saw Christ in a more comfortable, more approachable way. His language was young and meant to appeal to youth, but I got over it.I enjoyed the read and recommend this book.

This book speaks of what it is to be a Navy Seal on their elite team. It's told by someone who rose to the top and had to retire and go on to a second career due to injuries. Very heartfelt book. Enjoyed it very much.

I highly recommend this book. It will make you laugh and cry.

The story is about the challanges of publishing the stories about black maids in the South in the early 1960s. You feel the challanges these women went though in first telling their stories, then agreeing to have them published.

There were numerous narrators and they were great. They made the story.

Love this book. I'm looking forward to the movie.

This book speaks to the practicalities of marriage - from the viewpoint of someone who has seen very disappointing marriages in generations of her family.

Looks at the flaws of marriage and how Ann ended up in second marriage by default, when she was in fact trying to never get re-married.

The book is well read. It kept me interested.

The theme of the book is the most important thing about marriage is does the relationship make you both a better person.

Listened to this book while planning a second marriage. Nothing is sugar coated. Sets out things one should think about before taking this big step.

A real example of where truth is more facinating then fiction.

Annie Jacobsen is an incredible narrator. The content is facinating. Very informative. At times makes you angry. Her books is so well documented, and where she extrapolates, her conclusions really make sense.

She takes you to where the further question marks are.

I got this book as I like the narrator and it had so many great reviews. This book makes you think of the relationship between humans and nature - and in particular plants - in a whole different way. Johnny Appleseed is explained with many fascinating facts about apples and apple trees.
Apples, Tulips, Marijuana and Potatoes are talked about and explained. I found the discussion on potatoes would be the most provocative. The book allows you to better understand the blight,why genetic engineering of foods is gaining a foothold, and the challenges of organic farming.
Well worth the listen!

I like the characters and love dogs. Gotta sit back, relax and enjoy a fun story.

This book is a great resource. I loved 4 Hour Workweek and the Wisdom of Crowds. These books bread the mold on how to market and how to run a business.
The author reads the book and ad libs. Some of the ad libs are self - aggrandizing, though I con't knock success.
It's well written and interesting to listen to.
