Imogene is young and beautiful. She kisses like a movie star and knows everything about every film ever made. She's also dead and waiting in the Rosebud Theater for Alec Sheldon on an afternoon in 1945...Arthur Roth is a lonely kid with big ideas and a gift for attracting abuse. It isn't easy to make friends when you're the only inflatable boy in town.

Would you listen to 20th Century Ghosts again? Why?

This takes two or more hearings... could be the story, could be the narrator but, pay close attention listener because these are not ordinary ghost stories. You cannot predict these endings nor who/what is the real bad guy around the next corner.

What did you like best about this story?

Joe Hill has a little special something scary for every listener.

    Any additional comments?

Would like to sit Joe Hill down for a face to face to get alternate ENDINGS on some of these shorts. We know he has them.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

thinking I will get the paperback. The back-and-forth of character monologue became dreary after a while and I suspect even the narrator had difficulties staying on track of whom was speaking. They all sound the same from here. Nice effort.

To avoid war, Earth's government must find an equally unusual object: A type of sheep ("The Android's Dream"), used in the alien race's coronation ceremony. To find the sheep, the government turns to Harry Creek, ex-cop, war hero and hacker extraordinaire.

Would you listen to The Android's Dream again? Why?

Narration was perfect! Made you feel like you were sitting across from him, fueled by redbull and monster drinks, with intense interest and profound knowledge of subject matter, telling this tale solidly as if having returned from an intergalactic UBER CON convention, where the characters themselves told their side of the stories. LOVED IT!!! Only Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher drool!!!!) could effectively appreciate the humor and cleverness of John Scalzi's Android's Dream. More please!

What about John Glover’s performance did you like?

    was not disappointed

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    yes

    Any additional comments?

OUch! Read the previous comments on the new narrator (John Glover) for Book 13 and was hesitant to "listen" to this installment. NO worries, Jim Butcher never disappoints. Ghost Story still gave me goosebumps. Can't get enough Dresden supernatural action, fun, suspense, and moments of genuine hilarity. Fantastic listen.

Rebekkah Barrow never forgot the attention her grandmother Maylene bestowed upon the dead of Claysville, the small town where Bek spent her adolescence. There wasn't a funeral that Maylene didn't attend, and at each one Rebekkah watched as Maylene performed the same unusual ritual: She took three sips from a silver flask and spoke the words "Sleep well, and stay where I put you." Now Maylene is dead, and Bek must go back to the place she left a decade earlier. She soon discovers that Claysville is not just the sleepy town she remembers....

What about Emma Galvin’s performance did you like?

excellent performance by Emma... but, I'm a die hard fan of the reader.

    Any additional comments?

I would encourage Ms. Marr to continue weaving this story as it has enormous possibilities and an originality that is sorely needed in this genre.
