This book has been the best I've heard so far. The performance was great, it made me feel like I was right there with the characters.
I listened to this book because I thought that the movie was amazing. It is a great love story but to me it was too gushy. I love romance but this book did pour it on think. It was a little too much for me.
I never finished this book. The story may have been better than I was able to get from it but the performance of this book was so fast that it felt like I was listening to the chipmunks. When i tried to slow it down it sounded like i was listening to someone reading in a tunnel. The performance on this book was so distracting that I wasn't paying attention to the story and eventually gave up on the book.. This may have been a good book but its hard telling based on the experience I had with the audio version of this book.
It was read by the author so of course its going to be better than when it read by an actor
As a long time Duran Duran fan, I have read most of the books about the band and this is by far the best. What i liked about the book is that it is real, it portrays the band as it really is, the trials, triumphs and everything in between. When i bought this book, I purchased it as a fan thinking it was going to be another boring autobiography but this book was very touching to me. It turned John Taylor into a person with real feelings and challenges rather than the demi-god that i remember from my youth. I think this book is a must read for any Duran Duran fan--not just a John Taylor fan. It is a great book and a worth while read.
I like that it follows the previous book, it continues the story so I wasn't left wanting more. I think that the story jumped around a little too much in the beginning but that did clear up as the story progressed. I didn't like the storyline very well. There are too many mommy stories out there and really that is all this book is. I thought this book was boring for this reason and had trouble making it through the second part of the book.
Yes I would, she's a decent writer from the two books that I have already listened to.
I think the performance was fine. I think that it would have been better if she would have pronounced the names the same in this book as "The devil wears prada", I found that distracting but overall the narrator was good.
No, I don't think this story could be a movie or tv series. I don't believe that the story is interesting enough.
