    close, but not quite.

    even when I am busy, I can continue following the story.

    It would be hard to make this book into a film and would probably lose a lot.

    i rarely listen to a book in one sitting. the shear length and my schedule do not permit.

    I've never read it, but I suspect it may have been a better read.

    I'm not one to say I know better than a professional writer.


    What aspect of Grover Gardener’s performance would you have changed?

    He was a bit monotone making it hard to get into the story initially.

    It probably would not make a good movie.

    Where does Of Mice and Men rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    I have always loved this story but have not read it in over twenty years. With all the talk of Hemingway, for me, Steinbeck has always been at the top of his era.


    Who was your favorite character and why?

    All characters and that was one of Steinbeck's strengths; to create interesting, compelling characters.


    What does Gary Sinise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    I didn't think I'd like Sinise's narration, but he did a more than adequate job.


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes it was and it is short at no more than four hours.
