She won't rest until she's sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever. Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that's all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone. Her father was right. The monsters are real.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend the book before the audiobook. For some reason I couldn't stand the narrators voice!

What did you like best about this story?

The chemistry between Ali and Cole had me glued from the start even though I wasn't expecting much of a love story.

What didn’t you like about Natalie Gold’s performance?

Her voice sounded too mature to be that of a young "princess" like girl I kept imagine Alice to be. She sounded half bored or like an old smoker with a gravely voice.

    Any additional comments?

Great story but Natalie Golds voice ruined it for me. I feel terrible for saying it but after listening to Cinder and the great performance, Gold was difficult to listen to
