I tried and tried but I could not take the reader. I never would have made it through 60 hours of that guy.
The reader was so-so but the story was drawn out with no real climax. I am a Dan Brown fan so this was a real let down for me. Unless you are a school teacher I would pass on this one.
I thought this was very well written and an overall good story. I enjoyed it very much and it has inspired me to dive a little deeper into Stephen King.
This one bet them all out...close to the Lost Symbol but just a little bit more. This one left me wanting another in the series.
I think this was much better than both Angels and Demons and the DaVinci Code. Great storyline, great writing and very interesting.
I was much happier with this than Brown's first story of Robert Langdon. This was a good example of suspense mixed with realistic action. I really enjoyed this one.
Paul Michael was absolutely amazing. He moved from accent to accent flawlessly. I was so impressed that I am looking for other books narrated by him.
I really enjoyed the story but the performance was the overall winner.
I enjoyed the book but it is not one of my favorites. I grew tired of the over-the-top adventures that Langdon found himself trapped in. I loved the history and the conspiracy but I think that Brown tried to take the action a little too far. Overall I enjoyed it but I just had to separate myself from reality a few too many times.
Witty, intelligent with plenty of twists. Pessl tells a good story in a very interesting way. I think this is really well written. Not like anything I have ever read.
I found the story, characters and narrator all fascinating. I didn't know what to expect when I bought it but I was immediately wrapped 100% into the story.
I thought it was so good that I have already purchased another Pessl story.
Ok, this is a bit like a textbook but if you are really into the science of food or just wonder about some if the myths/facts about what you eat this is a really good listen.
Look, it is not a story. If you are looking for a story you really need to look elsewhere. If you love to cook you may find this book as fascinating as I did.
I really enjoyed hearing Martin tell his story and this thing is fully of short stories. Some of his shorts were really good and left me wanting to hear more and some of them were just so-so but as a whole I enjoyed it very much.
If you are interested in Martins path to fame this paints the picture and includes quite a few shorts from Martin's early career through the mid 80's.
