Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

Ok...this is mildly funny. I can not deal with more of the same. How many books can I listen to the same story with different players. The books are almost entertaining but I expect a new story and this was more of the same and I can not imagine that the next would suddenly shock me with a great new plot. Ms. Plum in a great character and the concept is sound but changing some details and characters does not make the series worth the listen.

Naked Lunch is one of the most important novels of the 20th century, a book that redefined not just literature but American culture. An unnerving tale of a narcotics addict unmoored in New York, Tangiers, and, ultimately, a nightmarish wasteland known as Interzone.

This was an incredible thing...and I still don't know if I love it or hate it. I know that I couldn't stop listening to it.

Burroughts is clearly an amazing writer and the book just flows from one area to the next but the story itself is hard to wrap your head around. I don't think that you can fully understand unless you have been trapped it the claws of addictions.

I am really glad I listened and I will probably listen to it again just to try to digest more of the shocking and often disgusting story.

I love to read, watch and listen to Anthony Bourdain so I found it great to listen to. Just a quick 3 minutes and there wasn't much to it but the Chef is interesting and speaks in a gritty and real manner about his trade.

Dubbed "the American Tolkien" by Time magazine, number-one New York Times best-selling author George R. R. Martin is a giant in the field of fantasy literature and one of the most exciting storytellers of our time. Now he delivers a rare treat for listeners: a compendium of his shorter works, collected into two stunning volumes, that offers fascinating insight into his journey from young writer to award-winning master.

When struggling riverboat captain Abner Marsh receives an offer of partnership from a wealthy aristocrat, he suspects something’s amiss. But when he meets the hauntingly pale, steely-eyed Joshua York, he is certain. For York doesn’t care that the icy winter of 1857 has wiped out all but one of Marsh’s dilapidated fleet. Nor does he care that he won’t earn back his investment in a decade. York has his own reasons for wanting to traverse the powerful Mississippi. And they are to be none of Marsh’s concern - no matter how bizarre, arbitrary, or capricious his actions may prove.

I love a good vampire story and I am not talking about glittery vampires, I am talking about blood thirsty vampires. Vampires are not my favorite story line but, I do get wrapped up in them from time to time. This story is well written with a great narrator. The characters are gripping and the story is complete. I really enjoyed this one a lot.

World War Z: The Complete Edition is a new recording of Max Brooks’ best-selling novel, World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, featuring 21 additional Hollywood A-list actors and sci-fi fan favorites performing stories not included in the original edition. New narrators include Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese, Spiderman star Alfred Molina, The Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont, rapper Common, Firefly star Nathan Fillion, Shaun of the Dead’s Simon Pegg, and members of the casts of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes and more!

Let me start with the fact that I really am not interested in most zombie stories, I think that they are usually nothing more than mindless gore. This, on the other hand, was done well. The story is put together in a way to make it very interesting and (somewhat) believable. The cast of narrators did a great job and I have to say that I truly enjoyed the book.

Each of the best-selling writers represented in Legends II return to the special universe of the imagination that its author has made famous throughout the world. Whether set before or after events already recounted elsewhere, whether featuring beloved characters or compelling new creations, these masterful short novels are both mesmerizing stand-alones (perfect introductions to the work of their authors) and indispensable additions to the epics on which they are based.

Martin's continuing story of Dunk and Egg is very well done. I wish that I had more and this one has pushed me into trying some other works by Martin. I can't wait for the next volume of Song of Fire and Ice. The performance from Malcolm is a huge step up from the first Legends and the story is fantastic.
I enjoyed McCaffrey's story but it is just not my type of story. It is well done but I could have lived without it.

The McCaffrey started off great and I thought I was in for a really good story. I thought it was a really good idea and it was written really well but it was predictable and ended abruptly. I would have like to have seen more.
The Feist story never got my attention and to be honest after an hour I moved on.
Martin was flawless but I didn't care for the reader.

In 1998, William Queen was a veteran law-enforcement agent with a lifelong love of motorcycles and a lack of patience with paperwork. When a "confidential informant" made contact with his boss at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, offering to take an agent inside the San Fernando chapter of the Mongols (the scourge of Southern California, and one of the most dangerous gangs in America), Queen jumped at the chance.
