Is this a great work of philosophy... no. Does it make you think about topics in different ways...yes. Look, the book might have flaws but I think any book that causes critical thinking is a good thing. If you disagree with the contents, good! At least you are thinking.
I have read the hyper-critical of this work and honestly, the bad reviews convinced me to get it. Someone goes on a 750 word rant about how their thoughts are far superior than the book just make me want to see what the fuss is all about. Rather than trying to prove who has the bigger brain just open up, listen and compare or contrast you own thoughts and opinions.
This book facilitated free thought and that is what philosophy is all about...the investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods.
I love Martin's book series and HBO's series and this is a good companion.
This is not my favorite series but it is very solid. I enjoy the storyline and there is enough suspense to keep me very interested. I plan on continuing the series to the end.
This is a good Reacher story. Consistent with the rest of the series. I am enjoying the series. It has the right amount of suspense, drama and action.
My first look into Lee Child and I think it was pretty well done. I don't think it was the best but it was certainly worth the listen. My genre of story but I hope for a little more in the future with this series.
Enough story to keep me very interested and light enough for the hours to fly by.
I really liked this blend of real and fantasy.
The story is set in the real world and surrounded in fantasy, great job and I can't wait for the next in the series.
This is what I have grown to expect from Dan Brown. Good story, nice plot twist and well written. Characters you can believe with a story that is a bit fantastic at times. I enjoyed it as much as other works by Brown. My list for his work would be Inferno, DaVinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Deception Point, Angels and Demons, and last The Great Expectation School.
I like Dan Brown but this was my least favorite of his work. Worth it but just ok.
I loved the movie so I enjoyed the book. It was nostalgic but really nothing more to me.
I know most people love the movie but I am not one of them. I had low expectations but found this a really well done, strange and interesting story. I will be looking into more by King.
This was uplifting to me. It explains a totally different look at life an what seems to be a disadvantage that could be a benefit. I like the change in perspective from what some would consider common knowledge. Great job.
I thought that Jackson did a fantastic job narrating but I feel like the story was a little weak. I appreciate what Himes did with this but I just didn't feel like the story was deep enough. I enjoyed the story but it felt a little juvenile.
