    About half way through the book I decided I had to share this book with my wife. We started again from the beginning and listened to it together in the car each day, and we both loved it. It's full of mystery, fantasy, wit and, mostly, charm. Mr. Beagle's reading of his own story with his great Bronx accent clenches the time and place feel of the book. This fantasy is not the sort of thing I usually read, but I was utterly charmed.
