"Finally! Martin & Binnie's Story"
This book is actually book 2 of the Barbara Holloway series (published/released out of order). I love this series and I loved getting to hear Martin & Binnie's story finally being hinted at through every book after book one. I agree with one listener that the narrator's voice doesn't quite capture Barbara's personality as I imagine her to be. The narrator's voice for Barbara is too high and too flighty but I got over it. Barbara just doesn't come off as the super intelligent, intense investigator/attorney she is. Even though this book takes place during the Reagan years, it's so well written I only missed the presence of Frank (Barbara's father) and Shelly. The whole series is well written (even if I didn't like some of the books the first time I went through them). I've come to appreciate and enjoy the whole series.
"Excellent"
This devotional audiobook compilation of Corrie Ten Boom's radio messages is absolutely wonderful. She is one of my very favorite heroes of the Christian faith. Her faith and her relationship with God are so genuine and inspirational. In this book, she answers the question one man asked her "What makes Jesus Christ more a reality for you than for me?" That's what I love about listening to Ms. Ten Boom speak-in her day to day life, Jesus is real to her. Susie Sandager does a great job with her narration. I can imagine Corrie Ten Boom speaking directly to me, encouraging me, correcting me...
