"Dale's Bomber crashes"
I have read and enjoyed every book written by Dale Brown except this one. The plo,t while believable, is disjointed. The story jumps around too much. There is too much space and time given to technology, and the book ends too quickly. It just happens with out any real reason. Too much time is spent on McClanahan's son and his preposterous flying of a B1 bomber to make the story less fictional. And after suffering through this, our hero is killed off in the end like Masters and Elliott before him. I hope he does not kill off Dog Bastogne as quickly. I look forward to Dale's next book to see what direction he is going in.
"Thor, Flynn, and Clancy have an equal"
Pike Logan joins Mitch Rapp, Alex Hawke, Jack Ryan, and all of Clive Cussler's heroes in the quest to make the world safe for democracy. I must say that I enjoyed this book very much as the plot was quite involved aqnd the story moved very fast. I usually listen to these stories on the way to my classes at both colleges that I teach at, However, this book I had to listen to at home. It ended to quickly.
"Are the Soviets back in the Game?"
Patrick is back with a great book. Only problem is that it went by to quickly. His character of Mack Bedford teamed up with Arnold Morgan made for an interesting plot. I wonder what the Irish would really think about becoming out 51st state. A nuclear strike on Fort Meade Md. is a chilling possibility. Look forward to Patrick's next book
"The Ryans save the US"
A truly interestering techo-thriller follow up to Clancy"s last book. It really gets you into the plot and does a masterful job of weaving an outstanding plot into what could quickly become real life. I have been a Tom Clancy fan since the Hunt For Red October and this one did not let me down. I can't wait for the next one. Gonna miss Melanie- Hope she comes back. The Chi-coms get what is coming to them. lou Diamond Phillips is excellent .
"Clive does it again"
Enjoyable escapism and a quite different plot. I again marvel at the research that must have been used to develop the conjecture that makes up Cussler's many plots. I like the way that the author seemingly supports capitalist archaeology and at the same time stresses the desire to maintain the need to preserve the antiquities for the public to see and learn from.
"Mitch saves tha day once again"
An excellent story based on a possible nightmare situation in this country's future. How long before the powers in Washington put a muzzle on Vince and Mitch.
"Black List for a Black Future?"
I can only say this-- It is frightening. After the recent elections, and after reading this book, I truly worry about the future of this country. I can only hope that Thor is not a prophet.
"Clive and Issac do it in style"
I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the Bell series. However the impact of talking movies is a little far fetched when applying it to WWI. It was good reading.I enjoyed the way in which Cussler portrays life in that time period. As a instructor of Underwater Archaeology, I have students occasionally read Cussler's books for fun as well as some factual material
descriptions
"An eye opening look at Washington Politics"
Wow. What a powerful book dealing with the corruption in Washington Politics. It is down-right frightening to see what could happen if a group of disgusted American patriots could do if they decided that political lies and back room deals had gone too far. When they decided to do something about it, it was refreshing at the least. great reading as fiction, but
it could happen.
"Issac Bell takes to the Air."
An entertaining book, but I found it to be not quite up to the previous Bell adventures. The story takes too long to develop and the plot is shallow. The reader can figure out who the real villian is quite early in the book. Yet, it is fun reading and not a complete waste of time.
