Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

Janet says: "I'm exhausted! In a good way."

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different story. It was simply boring.....and very predictable.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure

Which character – as performed by Elisabeth Rodgers – was your favorite?

I guess Libby, the mother.....though the character was not very likable....

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment....and anger that I had used a credit for it.

    Any additional comments?

Have always enjoyed Lisa Gardner....but will have to put serious thought before I purchase another of her books after this one.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Totally predictable, no backbone to any of the characters and if I had not listened to so many books by Tess Gerritsen and this were my first one.....it would DEFINITELY be my last. I can't believe that she actually wrote this. Characters have no substance...plot is any that a sixth grader could write.....(and that's not being complimentary to sixth graders)
AWFUL! Would LOVE to have my money back on this one!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Flat, no emotion....might as well have been reading a cookbook.

What character would you cut from Keeper of the Bride?

The question should be which character would I KEEP

    Any additional comments?

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I'M a huge fan of Gerritsen...but what a disappointment.
