"Great performance as usual..."
Very good book. Love the backgrounds of the sith and Jedi. easy to follow, nice timeline and very intriguing. My only problem with this and many of the Star Wars books is that they seem to try to mimmick George Lucas writing style. Why don't i like this, because the more powerful the character, the dumber and more anti-climatic they die/perish...
"Another great book from Jim!!!"
The Author does a great job mixing in little tidbids of his/my favorite quotes, characters of other novels. He actually mixed in some funny quips about Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy. He includes these in most of his bokks, hhis little pop culture references are great.
In this book he does a good job keeping things straight so you don't get lost with the mass of clones in the story. Some people seem to have a couple hundred clones of themselves in the city/planatoid. very twisty plot and hard to figure out who dunnit. Great writing style with some snarky comedy referenced in. Must read!!!
"Super Hero vs Millions of Zombies"
Wow! Super Heroes in the Zombie apocalypse!!! This series does not disapoint. Great backround stories on all the characters with a nice evel flow of the story. The Spuers have their hands full trying to save whats left of humanity. Good humor, suspense, zombies, Super heroes, I mean come on how can you not like this book!!!
I like the fact that the author calculates the zombie horde.. killing 1000 zombies per day means it would take about 23 years to kill the aproximately 9 million zombies in Los Angeles County alone...seems an impossible task even for super heroes...
"Movie sucked compared to the book..."
If you watched the movie, YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. It completely makes sense where the movie kinda sucked and had no real back story. The Author does a fantastic job with character background, story line, and a nice touch of sci-fy suspense.
The story follows one character and how she copes with her surroundings. There are some good funny spots as she has to deal with a drunk trainer on top of her impending doom. The author seems to keep it real as the main Character Katness definately has flaws and uses them to enhance a more realistic view of the situation. However at times the teenage attitude of Katness does get annoying I believe this is to help you get by the "why doesn't she just do this.." part of the story. Very entertaining I couldn't wait to get to book 2 of the series
"More indepth knowledge of the characters!!!"
This second book in the Hunger games tilogy did not disappoint!!! I like it better than the first. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, it did. Just when you thought all was lost something new pops up and adds an interesting twist.
The humor was kept throughout this book as in the first. Funny when it needed to be and suspensfull as well. This book follows Katness again and her teenage issues as she tries to cope with a mundane love triangle, more imbending doom and a slight glint of hope, very slight...
More character back stories and more action in the games makes this book a great compliment to the first
"If you want to destroy a good series, Take notes.."
Im not convinced that Susan Collins even wrote this garbage! None of the characters even act the same as they did in the previous books. Its like the author had a whole new set of characters but with the same names...
BLAH!!! this book was Horrible. If you want destroy a great series this is how you do it. I think halfway through the book the Author got confused and mixed up and forgot what she was writing about. it is obvious she had no idea how to end the book and towards the end you as the reader get lost and there seems to be no more timeline.
None of the characters act like they did previously in any of the books. Makes you wonder if Susan Collins really wrote this?
I had such high hopes and was so anxious to read this book but was ultimately disappointed. Its doubtful Collins even wrote this book. The characters didnt make sense anymore, timeline was difficult to follow at best and the plot was confusing. If you want to be completely dissapointed by all means read this drab horrid mockery of a good series. blah!
"Root for the supervillian...I like it!!!"
Humours book based on a supervillian's rise to the top. If you've watched the movie Megamind you can relate this book to what Megamind was going through. Lots of humor, super hero battles, revenge plotting and evil genius abound! Definately worth the read if you are into the not-so super hero genre. No graphic deaths or mayhem, just good clean family oriented evil :)
"Funny book...little overly religious"
I like Jim, he is very funny. I got to see his stand up act at the local comedy club. His stories and routine were too funny! The book is pretty good to. At some points in the book iwas laughing so hard i was crying. His stories are very relateable. However, I'm not Christian nor religious in any way and he seems to base alot of the unknown or unusual events in his life on his religious beliefs. to me that a bit annoying, but if you are Christian you would definately see this as spiritual. I think this is a good book for any faith but if you are Christian and want a funny book you absolutely must read this one.
"Same characters..But no Marvin"
I got this book because i was a big fan of the The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. Although this was a funny book and it did keep with the story line, it still lacked the original writers apeal. Arthuer Dent, Zapphod, Trillian, Ford Prefect, they're all back, but no Marvin...sigh. But if you are really a fan then surely you must read this one. It picks up right where the last one left off so its pretty cool. You will like it but you will definately miss Douglas Adams wit.
"Love the Author's style"
Mystery and humor with a little creepy thrown in for effect. Everyone that has ever lived in a creepy apartment complex has had these thoughts, but this goes even further as the people here actually start uncovering some really cool stuff. Great imagination here. Modern day setting with a very realistic perspective on the unknwn. You'l love this if if you like a good mystery book. Not murder novel but definately sci-fi...
