This is a fun book. but more for teenagers in my opinion, just because there are situations they may be able to understand better.

I have never heard/read heather graham. I am from florida and was pleasantly surprised this whole story is based in key west. It is a combo of romance, history and murder mystery. I liked it!

Nice story and a view into the history of this town. not very exciting. A lot of names and stories to follow

get the abridged version. There are soooo many names and it is not very exciting. I found it hard to keep track of everyone and all the many details.

A little hard to follow. All the names are very ethnic. Definatly not for new readers/listeners.

This story seems to follow the same type story as the twilight. Teenage angst and all.

This book leaves you wanting more and more. I can not wait till "The Killing Place" comes out. I encourage everyone to start at the begining of this series "The Surgeon" so that you can fully appreciate the story. I am soooo glad there will be a T.V. show. I hope it does her books justice.
Keep writing Tess I can't get enough.

This book had alot of facts like, names, dates, street names, cities, etc. So many it was hard to remember them all and keep it all straight. I also think it wasn't written in completely chronological order (confusing). To me the most interesting part was the epilogue. It would have been nice to have heard Capone's life story in his words and from his point of view. I think that is what I was looking for.

This book sounds like it could be fiction easily. Awsome story. It left me feeling a little frustrated with the politics and paper pushers at the FBI though. You have to give alot of credit to agents like Joaquin Garcia. It takes incredible talent and guts to do what he did. It would've been nice to have seen him get to finish the case and retire feeling satisfied with the results of all his hard work.

This book was a little difficult to listen to. Not because of the writing or the narrator but because of the actions of the "Ice Man". I listened to this book almost a year ago and I still can not get parts of it out of my mind. This book is definatley not for children in my opinion. This book is not for the soft hearted either.
