This series is improving. I am biased a bit by the Percy Jackson and the olympians series, though. This series is told tag-team style by two very talented readers that tell the story from the main characters' point of view with enough enthusiasm to make you want to hear more. The Percy Jackson books were told from one main character's point of view using only one narrator, who is a very talented story teller. Overall, I would recommend this series to anyone.
The Lighthouse Land was a good story and is there any story that Gerard Doyle can't tell well? His voices are always good, switching flawlessly from Southern US to North Irish.
I had never heard of this series or the author, and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. Recommend to any listener of all ages.
I can't believe that this was by the author of the Artemis Fowl books. Didn't care for the narrator either. Won't be bothering with the next book in the series
Every time there is a new book in this series it becomes the newest best one yet. The House of Hades is no exception. It is well-written and very entertaining. I have seen a lot of complaints about the narrator, Nick Chamian. I think he did a great job. My favorite narrator for these books was Jesse Bernstein, but Nick Chamian did a good job too. I recommend this audiobook for anyone.
This series of books was a pleasant surprise. I had never heard of it, but I have enjoyed some books narrated by Jime Dale, so I took a chance. Jim Dale's talent at bringing audiobooks to life is obvious. The story is well-written and highly entertaining and is perfect for all ages.
This is the best book in both Percy Jackson series, so far. I was really impressed with the direction it's taken, especially the way this one ended. I can't wait for the next one to be published. I will have to listen to this again in the mean time.
This is a good book. I had never heard of this series before and decided to take a chance. It was worth the gamble. This is definately a good family-oriented fantasy series. Children of all ages will be entertained by this story and Allan Corduner does a fine job at telling it.
Christopher Paolini has ended the inheritance cycle extremely well. However, without spoiling it for others, it was a melancholy ending. Definately the best book in the series yet, even though I was hooked from book one. I would reccomend this book and series to one and all. Additionally, Gerard Doyle does an excellent job as narrator for this series.
This sounds like it was read by some guy sitting in his living room. Almost no voice inflection or excitement whatsoever in this audiobook. Don't buy this version at any price no matter how cheap.
