  • The 360-Degree Leader: Developing Your Influence from Anywhere in the Organization

    • ABRIDGED (3 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By John C. Maxwell
    • Narrated By Wayne Shepherd

In his nearly thirty years of teaching leadership, John Maxwell has encountered this question again and again: How do I apply leadership principles if I'm not the boss? It's a valid question that Maxwell answers in The 360-Degree Leader. You don't have to be the main leader, asserts Maxwell, to make significant impact in your organization. Good leaders are not only capable of leading their followers but are also adept at leading their superiors and their peers.

Mark says: "Leaders will want their employees to read this"
    "Are you Kidding?"

This is the best of John Maxwell! The best leadership book in 10 Years. Very well read. Must buy for any serious leader.

  • Lincoln's Letters: The Private Man and the Warrior

    • UNABRIDGED (2 hrs and 36 mins)
    • By Abraham Lincoln
    • Narrated By George Vail

This collection of Lincoln's letters gives us a glimpse into the inner self of a great American president. After a brief autobiography, the letters appear chronologically, beginning with his courtship and early political life and continuing into the presidency.

    Leonard says: "Pass"

Narrator is real Dry hard to listen to. Content not that interesting. Team of Rivals, Lincolns Melancholy or Lincoln on Leadership are much better.

    • By Wynn Goldsmith
    • Narrated By Eric Conger

A river rat's graphic harrowing account of fighting in the Viet Cong-infested Mekong Delta.

    Leonard says: "Too many acronyms"
    "Too many acronyms"

When will military writers learn that the continual use of acronyms make the story to hard to follow and are not necessasary to convey the meaning the author is trying to get across.
This has the potential to be a good story but the listener gets bogged down with all the acronyms and what they mean.
You need a cheat sheet to follow them.
