Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would. I think it really shows to young girls not to let ppl say that they cant do something just because they are female.

    Any additional comments?

This was a really good book. I tried this series on a whim and it paid off. I love how Deuce doesnt let anyone tell her that she can't do something because she is female. How she stands up for what is right. The bonus is the love triangle she finds herself in. I cant wait to see what happens next!

yes and I have a few currently reading/listening to it.

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

    LOVED IT!

    Any additional comments?

Loved this book,. Fast pace lots of action but I was really surprised that Will did not manifest somewhere in this book. I figured it would happen since he does have the drake blood and powers. Now I just need a spin off or a follow up book to lets me know what happen to Cassin.

Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn’t easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember. Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent - the only boy Lana’s ever wanted - wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton - because Lana is sick of second-best.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Get rid of Kirby and add in a few more details to the story line itself. It almost felt like a wham bam thank you mam kind of thing. The love between the 2 seems to of been rushed. The story moved really fast which I do love but it kind of felt empty in some parts at the same time.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

When Shayna read it did but when Kirby read, NO! He sounds like he is 13 in the middle of the change and hasn't came into his man's voice yet. Plus the way he would latterly shout out the parts when the Hero or other male's would get mad in the book sounded awful! He sounded like a little girl throwing a hissy fit.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    yes, surprisingly.

    Any additional comments?

If they would just stop using Kirby to narrate. My ratting would of been higher. The story line was really good . And listening to Shayna's performance was awesome. I wish she would of done the whole book.

There was something wicked about Beau that drew me to him. What was wrong with me? Why did I want to sin so badly? Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Would you try another book from Abbi Glines and/or Kirby Heyborne and Shayna Thibodeaux ?

yes I would, because when it was good it was good. Minus the hero calling women's breast tits (ggggrrrr) (pet peeve of mine I would rather them be called boobs!) and Kirby Heyborne performance.

What three words best describe Kirby Heyborne and Shayna Thibodeaux ’s performance?

Shayna'a was awesome.....Kirby however OMG the guys in this book are not 13 they have already went threw the change so whats with the preteen prechange high pitched voice? And the way he sounds when he does the female's voice.....seriously I was screaming SHUT UP! One ( Shayna) narrator would of been fine. She did the male voices better then the male narrator.

Do you think The Vincent Boys: Extended and Uncut needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It already has one.....not sure why this was a question.

    Any additional comments?

If they would just stop using Kirby to narrate and get rid of the word tits. My ratting would of been higher. The story line was really good but for that one dreaded word. And listening to Shayna's performance was awesome. I wish she would of done the whole book.

What did you love best about The Eternity Cure?

The twist and turns, just when you think you know what is going to happen it goes in another direction. Heart pounding none stop action. Heart wrenching edge of your seat.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Can't pick just one, they all have qualities I love! From Zeke's caring, to Allison kick but take no prisoners attitude, to Kane's determination, to Jackal's snarky wit.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Therese is one of a few that can really bring a book to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed, I cried, I wanted to beg!

    Any additional comments?

I can't wait for the next book in this series to see just what will happens! This book has so many emotions and heart stopping pounding action hang by the edge of your seat scenes, just when you think they are gone HERE they come again!

What made the experience of listening to The Iron Queen the most enjoyable?

Finally this author has came in to her own. The first 2 books in this series you could see that she must of been a new author trying to find her way and she finally found it when it came to this book!
I absolutely loved this one in the series. I did not struggle with it at all as I did with the previous books. I think she finally found her balance with her targeted audience and well.....just everything finally seem to of came together in her writing this time.

Loved the action, the new faces ( Razor) such a loveable lil guy. The twist and turns...some you see coming others you do not. I do not want to say too much and spoil it so I will just say This one makes up for any struggles or issues you MAY of had with the first books in this series and DO NOT STOP now!

    Any additional comments?

I am just happy that I did not give up on this series and have already started the next book.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Preteens and maybe even teenagers

What could Julie Kagawa have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

My biggest problem with this series is one second it seems like its for a young audience then the next second we are cursing our fool head off. Pick on or the OTHER! It wasn't a bad book if it was meant to be a children's book but with the bad words I assume that's not the audience it was meant for.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Khristine Hvam?

Therese Plummer she could of really brought this book to life were as this narrator just wasn't suited for this type of book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Iron Daughter?

Maybe the one at the prom were the guy is groping the girls but and all the curse words. I have no issue with the cursing but this book would of been way better with out it. It just did not fit in with how childish the book itself seem to be.

    Any additional comments?

I normally finish a book in 1 day 2 at the most depending on the length, that being said I struggled with the first half of this book for a week. It bored me! It had a few moments that caught my attention but seemed to go faster then they came. The second half of the book I listened to in a day because I told myself I had to get done with this book! ( I do not like to start on another with out finishing what I already started) but I did read 2 other books trying to make myself read/listen to the second half of this one. *sigh*

The second half was a lot more entertaining! THANK GOD! It did have a very good ending which made me want to actually read the 3rd book which I started seconds after finishing this one. ( So far its a lot better and DANG me for my need to know what happens....I'm too noisy for my own good lol).

Do not get me wrong this book is good, its just that I started with this writer on a more recent book that I loved! The Immortal Rules ! <<<

Life sucks. And, as soon as Sidney picks up the pieces something always knocks her back onto her butt. It's never pretty, but this time is different. This time pretty isn't even the right word. Peter is the personification of perfection. It's like he fell off his angel perch in purgatory, because let's face it - any guy that hot has got to be naughty. He was probably sent here to ruin her life.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If there was mention before I started to read this book that it is ( or at least) will be a series. I hate cliff hangers! And if that happened to be the end of the book it sucked!

Would you be willing to try another one of Jessica Geffen’s performances?

She was okay. I suppose I would if it was a book I really wanted. I would not go out of my way to look for one by her though.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

There is lots of drama in this book. That my be a redeeming quality to some.

    Any additional comments?

I got this book for free on kindle and it started off with a bang and grabbed my attention but since I couldn't stay seating down I thought I buy the audio version......I should of stuck with the free kindle. The story was good for what it was. Just not my usual type thing and not something that I would of chosen to spend money/credit on. Then the end is so abrupt. I was like WTH! So I went to amazon and read reviews for this lady and she is known to have huge cliff hangers and series dealing with the same 2 people over and over threw out the coming books. So I can only conclude that there will be book 2 even though I could not find any mention of it. SO if you love cliff hangers go for it, if not wait and see if more books comes out. The ending will really P*** you off.

Would you listen to The Elite again? Why?

yes, the first time just did not seem to last that long! Plus the weight I will have for the next book I will need to refresh my memory.

What did you like best about this story?

You got to learn a lot more about Maxon and why he does what he does.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

SPOILER******* when she tried to stop Mar from being caned and when the Queen told her that she was proud that she did try. Finally giving the B**** hers when she called her friend a whore! OH MY THE KING! I have never had so much hatred rear it ugly head all at once before as I did for this person.

    Any additional comments?

While the book was overall good. I did find myself wanting to slap America.....just some of the things she did and the way she acted in this toward Maxon. Some was called for others not so much. I was not that much in love with her in this book as I was in the first one.....but honestly the way she acts/thinks is thoughts most young girls have so I cant fault her for it. We learn a lot more about Maxon, and things he goes threw that no one knows. We get to see the jealous side of Aspen, which I am not to sure how to feel about him at the moment. I just know I cant wait for the next book!

It was a fresh take on the dystopian world and vampire novels. A great merge between the two best thing that captures my intrest in a book.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If she would of stuck to what age group she was aiming for. One second it seemed like a fairy tale book and the next a curse word or two was being dropped. The writing was so childish there were times I almost forgot that this book was not aimed at a first grade level.

How could the performance have been better?

She can read very well but not act at all. Stick to what you know! When she tried to start acting out different parts from the book is when her performance was not good at all.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The only thing that is going to make me read the next book in the series is to see what happens. I hate to start a series and not finish.

My first book by Julie Kagawa was the Immortal Rules and I loved it! So I figure I give this series a shot. I was highly disappointed in the writing of this book so I assume it was one of the first she has written and hope the next book in the series is written much better. That being said if I could give this book away I would. It def would not be a keeper for me.
