    Well, it's no wonder. The plot - suspicion for an elderly woman's murder falls on her mysterious lodger - is from Agatha Christie. The wonderful character happens to be the world's most famous sleuth, Hercule Poirot.

    This is one of Christie's best novels. Poirot is brilliant and engaging, the mystery is thoughful, the characters are from Dame Agatha's usual repertoire, but I love them and the ending is most unpredictable.

    Interview With A Vampire. I compare the two for only two reasons 1) They are set in Louisiana and 2) They both introduce a new mytholgy with original, adult characters.


    Which character – as performed by Johanna Parker – was your favorite?

    Her beautiful southerm accent was perfect for Sookie. She was pitch perfect.


    If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    It has sort of been done,but " Vampires Come Out of the Casket" might work.

    I really like this book and Hugh Fraser is flawless, but I wonder why Dame Agatha barely used her greatest detective. Poirot does very little in this book. If you listen closely, very closely you can solve the crime yourself. I love it when I get to the last chapter and am right about the killer!

    What did you love best about Three Act Tragedy?

    I love Hugh Fraser's performance of the world's greatest detective. I like him more than David Suchet on audio.


    What did you like best about this story?

    As with most of Dame Agatha's books I like the twists and her reliable cast of characters.


    What does Hugh Fraser bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    The listener truely gets a sense of how Perot feels about himself. Mr. Fraser makes you love him in spite of his arrogance and pompous nature.


    Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    Every fan of this author loves the "Agatha Christie Moment". That part of the book where all the characters are gathered and the detective procedes to explain the crime and expose the wrong doer.


    Any additional comments?

    While I highly recommend this and all of Agatha Christie's books, if you are new to this author I recommend "The ABC Murders" first.
