Fifty years ago, James D. Watson, then just 24, helped launch the greatest ongoing scientific quest of our time. Now, with unique authority and sweeping vision, he gives us the first full account of the genetic revolution - from Mendel's garden to the double helix, to the sequencing of the human genome and beyond.

This is an excellent book for someone new to genetics like me. The introduction is gradual as it provides a historical and scientific viewpoint of genetics. Bill Meisle naration is most remarkable as he is able to bring the text alive to those who had listerned. This is my first audio book and is remarkable.
