This recording was excellently read and presented. I have been reading Rand of late and to her these views presented against the times Rand lived in were insightful and enlightening. Short but well worth a monthly point to listen to.
I enjoyed the book and enjoyed it so much that I want to review and implement many of the ideas continued within. The only issue is that in this case the audio book did not lend itself to the type of review.
I have often wished that audio books from this site would be broken down by chapters for easier review but I digress.
The book is a wonderful starting point to organizing your work and personal life and I would suggest everyone start listening and getting things done!
Wonderfully read and a great story. Is freedom of want and pain really freedom or a trap. ""All the advantages of Christianity and alcohol; none of their defects." If you could take a drug induced holiday and forget any worries you had would you? Is freedom the freedom to suffer? Great questions and a good story to review them with an ending befitting better science fiction!
So many men would have been broken, more would have been bitter, this story should be read to every boy that thinks of joining the service, this and Johnny Got His Gun. However, Unbroken is so much more powerful because it is real.
Well written, well read, and solid telling of the life of a man that was a man among men in a time of heroes.
An interesting and enjoyable story with many tips of the hat to older science fiction stories. Enjoyed the development of the characters and the unfolding of their lives together. Ending surely open the door for many more stories.
While it may not change your mind it will make you think about your beliefs and challenges you to view opposing mind sets. I enjoyed how he brought up many common ideas and asked you to view them from another point of view. His questioning of some issues may be uncomfortable; but isn't learning something new always uncomfortable?
Well read and well written.
King is a master of character development and enjoyed the pressure he put his characters under with this story. Fun, engaging, and great story telling. If you are a King fan then enough said. If you have never read King this and "Nigh Shift" are a great place to start.
First let me say I was shocked that this download was only one credit!! Be that as it may this was a wonderful presentation of the Bible and well worth the investment of the 96 hours to listen to, ponder, and review. The background sounds, different voice performers, and overall production is awesome. To use a phrase it was ". . . the Word made flesh." I could see returning to this production over and over and being able to pick it up anywhere and enjoy it.
So many great things to say but I have only one misgiving. I wish in this format there was some easy way to bookmark and return to each book for review. If there is a way please let me know.
Oddly urban and a great story to read before your 30. If you have never taken a road trip like these you owe it to yourself to listen\read this book and to take an adventure all your our.
Oddly quirky at times with the 80/20 rap but still an important business read and would suggest this title for all recent college graduates. This book still maintains an important and relevant message about business that needs to be understood by all leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs.
The reading was great and the story still is thought provoking. Highly recommend this title and this version of the production.
