Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, I felt as if I was living her life and constantly wondering about everyone that came into her life. I felt her terror and waited in suspense with her ont he other side of her door.

What does David Thorpe and Karen Cass bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The personality behind the words, the life that was ripped from the woman can be heard instead of just read. And once some words are said, they can never be taken away. I felt her pain and understood her complications and truly could see how you could become the person she was.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I understood how broken a person could become after the worst things that could be done to another human were done to her, and knowing that you still have to play the game with your tormentor...so when he beat her and she had to comfort him afterwards...it hit home.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Teddy says: "Demented, twisted, sick and I loved it!"

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The ENDING! It's the worst ending ever!

What was most disappointing about Gillian Flynn’s story?

Again the ending, how can you have a book so intricately woven with details, and twists, and then have it end that way! Horrible!

What aspect of Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance would you have changed?

    Nothing, they performed very well

Do you think Gone Girl needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, again the ending is horrible

The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.

If you could sum up The Night Circus in three words, what would they be?

Three words could never do this book justice, but I will try. Enchanting, mesmerizing, beautiful!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved everything about this story. The way you are given so much detail that you feel as if you can taste the food, smell the smells in the bottles, see the ink spread across the walls into sonnets...This book must be read to be fully grasped, it would be the same as telling a woman that she will love her child more than anything else once it's born. She would not truly understand until she has experienced that for herself, well this book can not be understood or done justice until you have read/listened to it for yourself!

Have you listened to any of Jim Dale’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not heard him before.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

An enchanting world of imagination and magic that become a tangible reality and love

From her first moment at Merryweather High, Melinda Sordino knows she's an outcast. She busted an end-of-summer party by calling the cops, a major infraction in high-school society, so her old friends won't talk to her, and people she doesn't know glare at her. She retreats into her head, where the lies and hypocrisies of high school stand in stark relief to her own silence, making her all the more mute.

What did you love best about Speak?

How it tapped into the reality of teenage life and reality of their emotions and how they cope.

What other book might you compare Speak to and why?

I haven't found one like it yet.

Which character – as performed by Mandy Siegfried – was your favorite?

    Melinda

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction to it, I just was able to relate to the teenage emotions. It made me remember the hurt and pain that can come from teenage years and how it could seem so impossible at that time.

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

If you could sum up Nineteen Minutes in three words, what would they be?

This is a truly thought provoking book, making the reader/listener absorb themselves in all the gray areas that exist in a seemingly very black and white matter. You find yourself understanding and feelign for each person and soemtimes not wanting to or wanting to admit it. And even with the twists and turns you are still holding to your seat, unwilling to let go and give up on what may happen and desperately needing to know what happens.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Nineteen Minutes?

Finding the ability to identify with both Jordan and Josie, Lacey and Alex at the same time.

Which character – as performed by Carol Monda – was your favorite?

    Josie

If you could take any character from Nineteen Minutes out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Peter, I would like to have shown him that not everyone in the world is bad, some of us care, and even he too can make it through. I would like for him to have seen a true friend, felt warmth, seen that those qualities that he was judged on by kids, were what make him a truly remarkable person.
