Selected from sermons delivered by C. S. Lewis during World War II, these nine addresses show the beloved author and theologian bringing hope and courage in a time of great doubt. "The Weight of Glory", considered by many to be Lewis’s finest sermon of all, is an incomparable explication of virtue, goodness, desire, and glory.

What would have made The Weight of Glory better?

Not sure. I guess I wanted to hear one of C.S. Lewis sermons. Not and explanation about his illness.

What could C. S. Lewis have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Did not get the impression this was a C.S Lewis book

What didn’t you like about Ralph Cosham’s performance?

Sound is if he was whinning all the time.

What character would you cut from The Weight of Glory?

    Do not know

Chief Inspector Armand Gamache has come to Winter Carnival - not to join the revels but to recover from an investigation gone hauntingly wrong. But violent death is inescapable, even in the apparent sanctuary of the Literary and Historical Society - where an obsessive historian’s quest for the remains of the founder of Quebec, Samuel de Champlain, ends in murder. Could a secret buried with Champlain for nearly 400 years be so dreadful that someone would kill to protect it?

    Their is no
    Ganache without Ralph

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. But I like to savor, sauté and marinate. I look forward to getting in my car , driving and listening.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Seems like this book was business as usual. Has she lost her passion. I did not enjoy it. The characters were not developed in a fastidious manner. They just kept missing one another. To many death. I love her book "the Witness". I just have not enjoyed any of her books since. I guess I will have to wait until August for Louise Penny to,get a good book

What could Nora Roberts have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Her characters were weak and undeveloped. I did not like all of the death before they got the killer.

What about Joyce Bean’s performance did you like?

    Excellent job!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment

"My name is different every month: Brandy, Honey, Amy. Sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask, but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing....My real name is Sadie, and once a month, over lunch, Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life."

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book would make a great psychiatric case study. I found it difficult to differientate between what was real and when she was living vicarioulsy through her friends narcissitic woes and sexual encounters.

Would you ever listen to anything by Megan Hart again?

Not on this subject matter. This book was ad nauseous and hopeless depressing.

What didn’t you like about Wanda Fontaine’s performance?

The contents of the book did not do her any justice.

What character would you cut from Broken?

I could not stomach the book any longer and had to halt my listening. It was very hard to distinguish the characters.

    Any additional comments?

I used one of my points for this story and I wish I could get a refund

It was whispered all through London society that he was a murderer, that he'd spent his youth in an asylum and was not to be trusted - especially with a lady. Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.
