Another great addition to the Sackett Series. Interesting characters and a good story line are carried on in this book. Mr. Lamour continues to tell of the hardships faced by the new pioneers.
Kin Sackett continues to carry the family name proudly when he puts his life on the line to find out why young girls are disappearing from the coastal settlements.
John Curless continues to do a great job as narrator.
I only do Audio versions. That is why I signed up with Audible years ago.
The characters and story plot.
Opening chapter when Fitz and Chad meet again.
I did not like that narrator James Langton changed accents of the main characters and pronouncement of the names. It was so dramatic I thought they had changed narrators! Chad now has an Irish lilt? Keep it the same...James!
Well,,,it has a good fantasy storyline and Ellen Archer does a great job in the narration.
The characters do not grow with the story. Although she is young in this first book, she has no survival instincts. She seems to wait for the bad things to happen and doesn't learn from her mistakes. A good herione must grow with experience as the storyline progresses.
EXCELLENT SERIES! Lynn Flewelling brings the charecters to life for you with a flare that holds your attention. And Raymond Todd is great in the reading of it, making them even more real to you. If you're looking for a good story line that is easy to follow andf keeps you wanting more...then Any of Lynn Flewellings books will keep you entertained. Oh and keep an open mind while your listening...it is worth it.
Good story line and good characters makes this another must listen to book. Jubal continues to carry the Sackett family further west, making friends and enemies along the way.
This book, as with the others in the Outlander series, has kept my interest from start to finish. If you liked the others you will like this one too.
