Loved this story. Sabrina is a little snot, but a tough cookie and Daphne is just adorable. Puck is a wonderful anti-hero! Highly recommend this book and this series.

Nothing ever changes. Until now.As Harry nears the end of his 11th life, a little girl appears at his bedside. "I nearly missed you, Doctor August," she says. "I need to send a message." This is the story of what Harry does next, and what he did before, and how he tries to save a past he cannot change and a future he cannot allow.

    Story

Good story and the narrator was genius at portraying the various characters. I liked the way it all flowed and came together and I found it to be an interesting plot, however it just wasn't my cup of tea. I got a little bored because I had a difficult time identifying with the main character. I would not fault the author with this though, it is simply a case of not finding every well written character interesting. I think I would have found Charity to be much more interesting.

I’ve been a huge Mercy Thompson fan ever since I happened to stumble across a signed copy of the first book in the series at my local book store. When I saw this one I was concerned that maybe the series was starting to get dragged out and that this book would be disappointing. I’m thrilled to say that my fears were unfounded. Patricia Briggs managed to keep the story going without turning it into a cliché soap opera.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Council of Mirrors to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version yet, however, the audio edition was so good that I plan to purchase the entire series in print and keep them as a family classic to share for generations to come.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Council of Mirrors?

That is difficult to answer without giving things away, so I will try to keep it vague for those who have not read it yet. It was Sabrina's secret weapon that ended up saving the day.

What about L. J. Ganser’s performance did you like?

His unique inflections for each voice make you forget that there is only one person doing the voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Although this is a light story, where one wouldn't expect to be overly moved, there are plenty of heart warming moments and surprisingly a few that make you a bit a sad.

    Any additional comments?

If you are looking for fun new adventure series to read with your children and even young teenagers I highly recommend this series. My child and I loved reading these, discussing the characters, the direction of the stories and debating which ones we liked best.

Alissa doesn’t believe in magic. Her father’s stories about the Hold, a legendary fortress where human Keepers learn magic from the enigmatic Masters, are just that—stories. It could very well be that I so love the "Hollow's" series by Kim Harrison that I found myself just a tiny bit disappointed at spots in this book. BUT, Dawn Cook's ability to write characters that you can both love and want to kick in the pants definitely made this an enjoyable story. It may have been better if the cover had not so clearly stated that Dawn Cook and Kim Harrison were one and the same. However I might not have bothered to listen to the book then. The story was entertaining enough that I'll be sure to check out its sequel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As a sequel to Masques I really could not have asked for a more engaging and satisfying story. I found it be a wonderful exercise in story telling for both the Author and the Narrator. The lead characters were so alive in my mind as the story unfolded. I highly recommend this book, especially if you have already read the first one.

The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

I always enjoy Kim Harrison's series "The Hollows". I rated this one a 4 out of 5 because I can't decide if I like that there were clearly two story lines in this book. I wasn't sure if she was setting up for a spin off focusing on Ivy or if she was setting us up for the next book. I like the closure she gives us for Rachael's past relationships and the continued build up for a romantic involvement between Trent and Rachael. I'm interested to see how this will play out.
