  • Panic!: The Story of Modern Financial Insanity

A masterful account of today's money culture, showing how the underpricing of risk leads to catastrophe. With his trademark humor and brilliant anecdotes, Michael Lewis paints the mood and market factors leading up to each event, weaves contemporary accounts to show what people thought was happening at the time, and then, with the luxury of hindsight, analyzes what actually happened and what we should have learned from experience.

    What disappointed you about Panic!?

I always feel like I'm missing something when I read an abridged book. Nobody's fault but mine, I do like the author tho.

Has Panic! turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Blair Hardman and Jesse Boggs ?

    Just one narrator please!

Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Louis says: "Loved it and learned alot."
    "John Lee performance was fantastic."

What made the experience of listening to Fall of Giants the most enjoyable?

Give me a well written historical novel and I'm happy. I learn something and get one hell of a story.

John Lee is great! Simply great!

What does John Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His gift with accents! His excitement while acting as a go between matches my own.

If you could take any character from Fall of Giants out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The house maid to member of parliament Eth is very attractive

    Any additional comments?

Great book! When is the next one to begun, finished, recorded?
