I initially wasn't planning on purchasing this book as Dani wasn't my favorite from the Fever series. I am so glad I did buy it! In this book, Dani is much more well rounded as a heroine and there is the bonus of learning more about some of the secondary characters from the Fever series that I wondered about after the last book. I am LOVING that there is a continuation of Christian's story. Looking forward to the next two books!

While I think we can all agree that the change in narrator is disappointing and boardering on upsetting, ultimately this is a GREAT BOOK. Most Dresden fans have come to see James Marsters AS Harry Dresden, myself included, so it took me until the second part of the book to get past the narrator change. Then it hit me what a pivital point this story is to Harry's journey. Don't let the change put you off because this story is amazing. As always Jim Butcher has hit another one out of the ball park. In the end, I almost think it is okay that the narrator is different BUT I would also be absolutely devastated if they didn't bring James back for the rest of the series.
