In the middle of the Indian Ocean, a NUMA research vessel is taking water samples at sunset, when a crew member spots a sheen of black oil ahead of them. But it is not oil. Like a horde of army ants, a swarm of black particles suddenly attacks the ship, killing everyone aboard, while the ship itself goes up in flames. A few hours later, Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala are on their way to the Indian Ocean. What they will find there will eventually lead them to the discovery of the most audacious scheme they have ever known....

What disappointed you about The Storm?

Did not care for the story, and found the dialog trite and similar to a C-rated movie script!

Would you ever listen to anything by Clive Cussler and Graham Brown again?

Will not choose this author again.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Not to my thinking. It was pretty much a waste of time. Did I learn anything? No. Did I experience anything new? No.

    Any additional comments?

Even though I like Sci-Fi this book was not my cup of tea.

More than ninety percent of dog owners consider their pets to be members of their family. But often, despite our best intentions, we are letting our dogs down by not giving them the guidance and direction they need. Unwanted behavior is the number-one reason dogs are relinquished to shelters and rescue groups.

What did you love best about Decoding Your Dog?

I highly recommend to a potential or new dog owner, as it contains excellent foundation information that will help in understanding our canine friends. Information is included to help one select the correct breed and begin to housebreak and train.

What did you like best about this story?

Many aspects of dog behavior is covered.

    Any additional comments?

This book was reinforcing, albeit somewhat redundant for me. I was hoping for the 'next' level of explanation. It would be so helpful to have a listing for the chapter topics so that it could be used as a reference in the future.

Mma "Precious" Ramotswe sets up a detective agency in Botswana on the edge of the Kalahari Desert, making her the only female detective in the country. At first, cases are hard to come by. But eventually, troubled people come to Precious with a variety of concerns. Potentially philandering husbands, seemingly schizophrenic doctors, and a missing boy who may have been killed by witch doctors all compel Precious to roam about in her tiny van, searching for clues.

Would you listen to The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency again? Why?

The visualization was excellent; one could really imagine being there. Main character is clever and refreshing.

Have you listened to any of Lisette Lecat’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Have not.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It takes a pound of courage....

    Any additional comments?

I look forward to the remainder for the series.

The “Prey” novels by Pulitzer prize-winning journalist John Sandford consistently make the best-seller lists, but they are not for the faint of heart. Featuring Minneapolis Lieutenant Lucas Davenport, these thrillers are raw, graphic, and impossible to put down. In Eyes of Prey, a depressed and unfocused Davenport takes on a macabre case, tracking down a serial killer who maims the eyes of his victims after he has murdered them.

Would you try another book from John Sandford and/or Richard Ferrone?

I personally don't like so much blood and gore, so would not choose another Sandford book.

Would you ever listen to anything by John Sandford again?

    No

Was Eyes of Prey worth the listening time?

Yes, the story line was exciting, just not the details!

Forensic archaeologist Ruth Galloway is called in to investigate when builders, demolishing a large old house in Norwich to make way for a housing development, uncover the bones of a child beneath a doorway - minus the skull. Is it some ritual sacrifice or just plain straightforward murder? DCI Harry Nelson would like to find out - and fast.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

My only complaint about the narration is that I had difficulty hearing her, since her voice seemed to soft to be easily heard in my car. I drive a lot and this is where I listen, so this was very frustrating! I've listened to dozens of books and never experienced this issue!
